Grayscaling a token

Hi, this may be a silly question, but is there a way turn the color scheme of a map or token into a grayscale? I'm trying to make some tokens look like statues (they are petrified people), and the "tint color" option isn't strong enough for me. Is this something that I have to go to an image editor to do? I thank you in advance for your help!

Yep, you need gimp or similar.
Oh well. Thanks for confirming that Scott C.!

A tint color of white might do the trick. It's what I use.
I'll have to try that. Thanks keithcurtis!
Get Gimp it's free after all. :)
