Tags on Maps

I have dedicated a full page of my campaign as the world map, where I placed the map of Faerun, and have been taking notes on it as we go. (this is the city with the Black Network Headquarters, here is your stronghold etc.) but now there are so many notes that it looks like a mass :( I WISH there was a way for me to place tags, flags, pins etc, where we can see a note only if we hover over it. That would be AWESOME! colorful tags! And players could put tags too maybe?
