Hey all. Need your feedback on the following Blademaster prestige class I'm working on for my custom d20 Wheel of Time system. Specifically - need to know if you feel the class feature Blade Meditation is too powerful. You'll notice the class is 15 lvls vs just 10 and that I made the BAB chart reflect actual total BAB (easier to read that way). Also - the sword forms - would you add and additional prereqs to any of the sword forms? Anyway here's a link to the file: http://epicwords.com/attachments/13308 I'm borrowing heavily from multiple sources to include Wheel of Time d20 system, Jesse Jack Jone's modified Wheel of Time d20 system, Pathfinder, and online Wheel of Time fansites to craft this system. When it is completely finished, I'll post it. I'm making the casting (magic) portion portable. I.E. The rules for magic can be used in multiple systems to include straight Pathfinder. More to come on that soon.

Can everyone see the doc linked? If not I can find another way to link it.

I can see it but as I dont play with that system, I feel I'm not knowledgeable enough to give an opinion on it.
If anything it's underpowered. I recommend making it +1 to hit and damage per two levels instead. >but is himself flat-footed until the beginning of his next turn. This downside isn't needed. Scrap it. >Boar Rushes Down the Mountain I recommend making this work like a redone Power Attack that grants a penalty to AC instead of To Hit. >Cat Crosses the Courtyard Far too situational, but if combined with Combat Patrol from Pathfinder it can be extremely useful. >Cat on Hot Sand Instead of Negate, I would make it say "automatically avoid". Makes it more clear that the user expends the AOO >Courtier Taps his Fan I'd make this an Attack Action instead of a Standard Action. >Dove Takes Flight You need to note when they lose their dex bonus for this. When attacking? When attacked? Both? >Heron Spreads its Wings Obsolete. Full attacks already allow you to attack any target within range. > Moon Rises Over the Lakes Obsolete, Quick Draw already allows you to do this and you're likely going to be using your preferred weapon. > Plucking the Low-Hanging Apple You should note if the bleed damage stacks or not. Other than that, looks good.

Thanks for the reply. I'll adjust the obsolete sword forms. Missed those. Many of the sword forms are circumstantial and it will take a good role player to recognize the moments to use the correct forms. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Very much like your suggestion of adding combat patrol to Cat Crosses the Courtyard. And very much like the reworked power attack for Boar Rushes Down The Mountain. For Dove Takes Flight - Blademaster loses -2 to AC immediately and after opponent attacks he loses Dex bonus to AC for Blademaster's next attack. Basically a two round form. Thanks for the inputs on those. If I make it +1 to hit and damage every two levels and keep the +1 to Will and Perception every 4th level, would you think that too powerful? Separate the two into separate class features perhaps? Direct substitute Weapon Training for "Sword Training" and Bravery for "Blade Meditation"
Up to you if it applies to will saves or not. Saving throws aren't that hard to increase if you want to burn a level or two. Also, when making attack options, that's tactical skill, not roleplaying skill. If something is too circumstantial, it wont get used and will be a trap option, and God knows Pathfinder is full to the brim with those already. Most of the things that kill you in d20 call for fortitude saves anyway. Remember: Always ask yourself "What's stronger, this ability or a wizard of the same level?"
