Dungeons and Dragon BECMI needs 1 new player (Tuesdays 7PM GMT)

We are just about to start our second adventure when one of our players has had to drop out so I'm looking for someone new to join. We use Skype as voice and roll20 for maps etc.

I might be interested but can I hear some more details about yourself and the campaign?

The campain is currently in the Grand Duchy of karameikos with the group heading to Specularum. The group has a Magic-user, Elf, Mystic and Cleric so far. I am planning on running through as many Basic DnD adventures as I can get my hands on. Info about me: I'm a long term RPG player having started 30 years ago with basic DnD and DM'd games for almost as long. This is my 5th campaign on roll20 with other games being DnD 3.5 and M&M 3E.

Well it defiantly sounds interesting and I would like to join.I have been playing 3.5 and pathfinder for a while now as well as hosting lots of game however I have not player D&D BECMI before so I don't have any of the rule books. I have Skype and a working microphone so If you will accept a beginner I be happy to join.

cool. Do you have a character preference? We could use a Dwarf, Halfling, Fighter, Thief to compliment the current members but any class could be considered.

Normaly a rogue type character is my favorite. As for race I normally take something uncommon or what works best with my build. if you want to add me to Skype my name is urbainknight

ok Kevin and Stealth, I'm happy to have you join the group, In basic DnD all Thieves are Human and the dwarf is a character class that is basically a fighter with a few extra abilities. If you guys are happy to play these I'll role up some characters for you both so we can get you started tomorrow? Pieter, unfortunately that brings my players up to 6 which is enough for now but thanks for your interest.

If a human is a thief than what is a halfling?

heh a Halfling is a halfling. The "class" a fighter type with hiding abilities and bonuses vs larger creatures. All three demihuman races are treated as a class of their own the Elf is what would be a fighter/mage in later editions.
