Is there a way to make private macros as a GM?

I've been trying lately to set up some Macros to make certain things easier when GMing (hidden rolls) however I can't seem to find a way to make the tables private. I need not only the result, but the whole thing to be private, and by tables I mean the default template that spawns off of &{template:default} . I've found a work around with /w GM [[macro here]] [[ repeat]] but that ends up being really messy to read. I'm also wondering if anyone knows a way to make an initiative macro that will put all your players into the turn order? The current macro my group uses requires you to put your cursor on the token so I can't just mass roll with one click even if I have all their initiatives.

The tracker command requires a selected token. There's no way to do it without them knowing short of the API. Relevant Wiki: https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference#Roll_To_Initiative
Unfortunately to add characters to the initiative tracker, you MUST specify the token as that is actually what gets entered into the tracker, and since you could have multiple tokens for the same character (or NPC mainly), you aren't going to be able to get around that without API. As to the GM only macro, your workaround of using /w gm is the only way to do that as well. AFAIK anyway

I unfortunately have no idea at all how to do anything with the API so I've avoided a pro subscription because of it. Ah well, it's not the biggest hassle waiting for everyone to roll initiative, and I can make do with /w myself for the others. Thanks for the repsonces!

The API isn't so hard to use and there are plenty of us about that like to help people with it. If you want to play around with it a bit, I can invite you to a game and GM you so you can try it out. Just PM me if you're interested.

Tokens on the GM layer don't appear in the Player'a Tracker... but you would need to manually add and Roll initiative...
