Last minute replacement.

Greetings guys, I have a once a week game(DnD 4e) that has been going on since May. Unfortunately, due to certain events we lost a couple of players. I understand this is a last minute post, but we are looking for 1 maybe 2 other players who would be interested in joining an ongoing game once a week. The game is quite story driven and the pace isn't a "Kick in the door style" so wargamers and Stat monsters apply with caution. The Lvl is 9.5 worth of XP and any class/ race is welcome, however the guys would prefer atleast one heavy Defender. If this seems like something you would be interested in feel free to contact me. As stated before the game starts for 8pm(EST). Looking forward to hearing from you. (Please give a brief description of your personal and player info. No one liners. Thanks)
I'm an instigator and a storyteller, always trying to get a word in to move the story along or change it's direction into one more interesting. Obviously without knowledge of your campaign(I would have given a link to it's LFG page, or something), I can't really choose a character that would go well with your game. I could play a defender, but it will be a Battlemind/Paladin, worshipper of Avandra. His name is Wales, and he believes that physical prowess is the result of the mental stability and capability to force your body into training. He believes he was once visited by Avandra in his dreams. She took the form of a tall elven woman with black pixie wings wearing a pirate's garb, pointing a rapier at his throat; She called herself Meb Titania the Faerie Queen, and that is what Wales worships her as. When he awoke that night he could see things he hadn't before. When he played with his friends on the streets in the village, his blows struck fierce-- but it was not their bodies that felt his touch. It was their mind. He joined the Temple of Avandra to learn to use his power. They could not assist with his Psionic abilities, but they trained him nonetheless into a paladin of worth. I could also play just Either a Paladin or a Battlemind if you dislike Hybrids. In this case, his backstory ends with him losing his Psionic abilities from lack of use and just becoming a paladin; Or him using his Paladin training in battle, though he could not master the strengths of his Goddess, or the radiant light. I'd play Good Alignment on that one. I'm not sure what kind of game yours is so I should probably post up another character, but this is the only one I've got ready.
