Thanks for taking the time to look into our game. Currently we are running a Lord of the Rings DD5E game. Adventures of Middle Earth The official rule book is out as of last year. We have 4 players (warrior, bard, scholar and wanderer) but looking to add one to two more players that are easy going and want to have a fun adventure in Middle-Earth. This company is at level 3-4 and have around 3 days of game play down. The era is the start of 4th age when the Age of Men arrives. The world is cleared of Sauron and a new shadow is starting to emerge. The adventures are a good mixture of brawn's, brains and character development. The character sheet is very similar to DD5E almost exact. As a GM I try to keep the Lore tightly close to the books and weaver characters into the epic story. You are not restricted to just doing the "Main Quest" no its open world and we run this game once a week. Game Time Sunday 7:10PM EST Session Rules 1.) Please be kind and patient in chat. 2.) Don't clog voice channe l with unnecessary chatter. We all want to make the most out of the experience so this helps us move along. 3.) Please don't sabotage game play. This could be anything from avoiding the main story line at all cost to rolling a character that has oddities the players just don't care for. 4.) Use the ability God gave you and Type with your fingers . This reduces noise while the story telling is going on and reduces my chance to forget what I was thinking. This is especially helpful when buying simple items or basic weapons. (Example) If you want to negotiate a price just type what your doing and roll. 5.) Rules! If we are missing something please peak up. We will always try to follow the core rule book of D&D 5E as well as Adventures of Middle-Earth. 6.) Think Ahead Bro! So its your turn in 2 turns aye. Please try to think ahead of time and know what your actions will be. This reduces time in battles and makes battles more fun for everyone. 7.) Honesty is a big part of the game. I will check sheets and attributes but this can be daunting especially when groups get larger. Shadow Points awarded for treachery! 8.) Please try to be on time . I know it does not always work and I am not the best example haha. A little background for me. I am 30 years old and live on the east coast. I have played RPGs since I was 14. I grew up playing home brew games and then was introduced to star wars and D&D. I am not a stickler for rules and I am not a GM who goes for your head unnecessarily. In fact I hope you succeed but everyone knows that trials are to be expected and even death. I have played many MMO LOTRO 6 years, WoW 4 Years, KOTOR 3 years and many others. I have read all of Tolkien's books and by far LOTR is my favorite. Fantasy has always drew me in ever since I watched the Hobbit (Cartoon Version) on VHS. Thus I endeavor to relive epic stories by trying to make you catch your breath with a twist or a blindside so the story does not go stale. My promises to the players 1.) I will always try to make the story interesting and accurate. This is not always easy but this is my first goal. 2.) Combat will be fair but challenging. Use skill checks to your advantage, figure out strategies on certain bosses. 3.) You will not be forced into character. You may play out your characters voice but if you don't its ok. 4.) Make the story fun and involve everyone. I like to keep the groups smaller 5/6 people to involve everyone. 5.) Gear Grinder you shall receive good loot and inspiration bonuses. If this sounds like a group you would like to join just send me a PM or respond on this forum. Thanks Jake. “Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men, doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien , The Lord of the Rings
