Hello! I'm Tim, a rather experienced roleplayer who has spent more time on DMing than on playing. I have put down A LOT of time into different roleplaying games, but am currently feeling that 5e is where i should stick for a while. I have just set up a workshop for new players to come and learn DnD, and have finished the first two workshop sessions/days, and it turned out to be something beloved by those who joined in. So i thought, why not extend this? Why stop at having only new or inexperienced player come and learn the basics of DnD? My idea is that if there is demand enough, that i will also set up a workshop for people who wish to DM, but don't know to start, or DM's that feel that they wish to learn more or get another viewpoint of different things. With this post, i basically want to check how much people out there are in need of this, or feel that they want to test and see what it is. If the workshops have enough interests (The player one is up and running and will be for a forseeable future) it will run on Wednesdays and Thursdays (as is now) at 18:00/6pm GMT+1 What would the be learnt from these workshops? If you are a player, and you feel the urge to learn how to play 5e dnd, then you'd learn the following How to set up a character Stats, Race, Class, Proficiencies, Backstory How combat works Actions, Bonus Actions, Reactions, Interactions, Spells, Damage Types, Cover, Advantage/Disadvantage If you are a DM, and you want more flesh on your bones, then you'd learn the following Story Building How to create your own story, ploothoks, quests, side quests, Does and Don'ts Worldbuilding Maps, Npcs, Towns, Religions Battles How to balance your fights, how to be original and use things that are not just monsters Battlemaps Dynamic Lightning, Areas, Obstacles Dungeons Puzzles, Traps, Dangers/Hazards Roleplaying How your NPCs can work in relation to the PC's Story telling How to use your voice as a great tool If you are interested in this as a DM then please say so down below.
