It's a beautiful sunny day in the California Free State's premier metroplex. San Francisco looks out over the bay in 2077, the skyscrapers extend all the way up to the fog as the monorail runs through the city, bringing all of metahumanity to their corporate jobs. Wage-slaves every one. They simply want to go to work, buy their dinner and go back to their apartments to watch some drek on TV and drink a mass produced beer. You are not part of these people. You have no desires to simply work for ten hours a day for mediocre pay and go home to your twelve-hundred square foot apartment. You either were never given the opportunity to live this life, or chose to cast it aside for a chance at riches through a more... illicit part of the world. The sun may shine on CalFree, but you are a Shadowrunner. A vestige on the side of society, doing jobs that no one else can do for those who will pay you to do it. Each of you has developed skills, maybe even a code, but you all have one thing in common. You need nuyen to survive, and you'll do anything to get it. So when a message appears on your commlink from an unknown source, you're more than happy to just toss it away alongside the rest of the spam, until you see those six little words. "I've got a job for you" ---- https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/67152/only-one-... Hey everybody, and welcome to "Only One Drawback" a Shadowrun 5th edition game set in the San Francisco metroplex in 2077. For a lot of you, this is probably going to be unlike a lot of Shadowrun if you've played before. My goal is going to be to try and immerse you in the world of Shadowrun, so bonus points if you know the world already, but I'm not holding anything sacred. This game is going to reward good planning, smart thinking and good roleplay more than anything, combat is never going to be a certainty unless you're directly hired for it. Thanks for your time, if you have any questions, please post them below in the appropriate threads. -Stewart
