[LFG][LFDM] D&D 5E - Storm King's Thunder - Sat / Sun at 13 UTC ⁺∕₋ 4 hours

Edited 1486015343
[Updated on 02.02.2017] We've found some people willing to DM and we're currently looking for 1 or 2 more players . If you're interested, please post a comment or send me a PM. See also announcement at the bottom of the thread. Primary goal of this posting is to find a DM willing to run the Storm King's Thunder module, however players are also welcome. We already have 2 players. Play on Saturdays or Sundays in the range of 9 to 17 hours UTC+0. Details follow. About Storm King's Thunder (SKT): SKT is the latest module from the developers of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. It is a 256-page sandbox-style adventure for characters of 1st level to 11th level or higher. SKT pits the players against the rampaging giant lords of the northern regions of the Sword Coast providing a Nordic flavor. Throughout the adventure, the players will explore vast untamed wildlands complete with frozen oceans, snow caped mountains, dense forests, and ancient ruins. They will harness the ancient power of rune magic, encounter wild barbarians, battle giants, and take to the high seas in search of a way to stop a dangerous upheaval from destroying all that the ‘small folk’ hold dear. About us: We're 2 players with more than a year of roleplaying experience (including GM'ing), primarily D&D 5e, but we also played more narrative-focused systems such as DW. We enjoy both mechanically challenging fights and contributing to a compelling narrative. We're both not native English speakers, albeit rather fluent. About the play timeframe: I'm at UTC+7 timezone, my friend Roman is at UTC+3. We're able to play on Saturdays or Sundays, preferably in the range of 9 to 17 hours UTC+0. Of course, the time frame is flexible, so please post or PM to agree on a fitting time. For DMs: We're looking for a DM with prior experience, preferably in running D&D 5e. SKT module will be provided on Roll 20, if needed. Some skills at pace-keeping are also desirable, but not strictly required. We understand that many people will not find our time frame quite fitting, so we're willing to accommodate as much as possible, just drop a note or PM. If the time frame is good for you but you don't want to run SKT or D&D 5e, please also drop a note or PM — more than likely we'll be happy to play whatever you're up to (including games with 18+ elements). There won't be some bullshit "audition". I strongly believe the best way to get to know each other and feel whether we suit each other is to play a game together. However, if you have questions or want to chat beforehand — we'll set up a meeting. For Players: Players with any experience are welcome. Please make sure that time frame suits you. Familiarity with D&D 5e is recommended, but not required. DM may have more suggestions, once we find him or her :) We aim for a group of 4 PCs (3 or 5 should be fine as well), so 1 to 3 player spots. Feel free to comment or send a PM if you're interested or have any questions.
Hi. Me being aforementioned Roman I'd like to add that I already own official Storm King's Thunder module as well as PRO account and would be gald to invite any willing DM to run a game. We're also open to consider monetary compensation for DMs time.
By the range of 9 to 17, do you mean between 9am to 5pm UTC? Because that'd be my ideal time range too, being GMT+1, and I'd love to join you as a player. It'd be very nice to play daytime my time instead of the middle of the night.  I'm familiar(ish?) with D&D 5e, but just to the extent that I've played three sessions.
Hi there rollers :)  the time range sounds great to me on saturdays as i am GMT+1 too  I could be up for DMing this campaign if you guys are willing to put up with a fairly new DM (i only started to dm not long ago with the first module lost mine of phandelver) that tries hard to make his players enjoy the game be it in combat or roleplay. i may not be exactly what you're looking for as a DM since you're looking for someone more experienced i guess but i can only get better at it and the few players i did some DMing for gave some alright feedback even if i probably have to work a lot on some aspects(specially the voice acting wich i'm not too comfortable with yet). i will obviously not ask for any compensation at all being a new DM....(but would be glad to use the module to make my life easier...) Otherwise if you'd prefer a more experienced DM (totally up to you and understandable) i would be interested as a player too to be a part of this campaign. I enjoy a balanced kind of game with some good RP and a fair share of fight to keep things moving in an good and epic direction hopefully. If all that caught your eye or need any more info about anything feel free to send me a pm. Delson
Yes, 9 AM to 5 PM UTC. [The following is mostly for the convenience of others]  This page should automatically convert the game time frame to your local time zone . Please don't mind the date, only starting and ending hours (which are again not set in stone). We're currently aiming for 2-4 hour games weekly. Annie, you're welcome to join! If you know anyone willing to be a DM for the game, please share this listing with them.
Awesome! Sadly I don't really know anyone who'd be suitable, but I'll let you know if I happened to stumble across someone.
Delson, that's great to hear! I'm not really biased when it comes to new DMs. I think it's better to have some form of a test or one-shot game to see if all players and DM fit each other nicely. Tons of experience aren't that important, as long as everybody strives to continually improve. For example, I know my voice acting is sub-par at best :) As Roman said above we'll be glad to provide you with the module on Roll20 and Pro account benefits (dynamic lighting, API scripts, etc.) for this game. Please either reply here or send me a PM if you're OK with running a test/one-shot game (which may as well be a small part from the beginning of SKT).

I would be willing to DM  SKT, however this time slot is at 4am my time. It would have to be the other side of the sun for me.
MeditatingMunky, assuming you're in EST, the time frame would be from 4 AM to 12 PM (noon). Indeed, this might not be convenient for you. We're currently planning a one-shot game with Delson (see below) to see if we fit each other. If this time frame suits you, you're welcome to join as player. Announcement: we're currently tentatively planning a one-shot with Delson DM'ing for this Saturday, the 4th. Current list of players includes me, Roman, and Annie. 1 or 2 additional players are also welcome to join.
