change profile image: allow use of art library or don't put it in my art library

I like to set my profile image to a picture of a character I am playing if I'm playing in someone else's game, and to something else if I'm running the game. This means I end up cycling through the same images each week, and end up with several copies of those images that must be removed by hand from my art library. Since I can't select that image from the images already in the art library, I must upload a new copy each time, and during the cleanup phase, if I remove an image of a character that was being used for a token, I have to replace that image, and the gm has to set up the token all over again. I think it would be nice to either have a temporary space for the profile picture that isn't accessible from the library, or to be able to select the profile picture from existing images in the art library.    This is a suggestion, not a complaint, I'm having tons of fun on roll20.
Another option would be to allow a user to activate a setting that set their character image to be used instead of their profile image in games. They would have to designate a 'main character' in such games, since players can be assigned control of more than one character. It could be an option on the character sheet instead of on the player's profile.
If you choose to speak in character (by choosing your character from the dropdown menu) it replaces your profile image and name with that of your character. You can then switch back to speaking OOC via the dropdown, or by using /ooc or /o. This should take care of most  of your problems, I think, but I agree that what you said is still an issue, even considering this. You really should  be able to select previously used images, or just don't have your image be in the library. It seems counter-intuitive the way it is, now.

Thank you, Nath - That solution solves my problem. Edit: actually, changing the name you speak with makes it use the image of your character in chat, but the avatar image on the screen is still the profile image, which is the one I really wanted to change. So my problem still exists.
