Clicking token is not bringing up the option for changes

February 01 (8 years ago)
Hey guys!  so whenever i go to click the token to make changes such as deducting HP from the one of the three circles for input value, or even just adding or subtracting a status icon, the option is SOMETIMES not coming up.  and when i mean sometimes, its literally pressure sensitive when i click on the icon.    So to explain, when ever i hold the left mouse click button down for a regular click...nothing comes up.  but when i go to literally just TAP it really fast.. it'll bring up the option to adjust status icons, HP/AC Circles.

I tried clearing cookies, and it still does this.  :(  please help?

Hi, xTimmyx, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site.

Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues?

If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4. (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)

Thank you!

Thank you. Could you please let us know whether these issues persist when using Firefox?
February 01 (8 years ago)
This is a common bug... at least for me. Usually happens if I have selected a token to move it and never deselected the token before clicking it again to try and update the bars. Deselecting the token and then clicking on it again will bring up the bubbles.

Thanks, SkyCaptain. I've never heard of this behaviour before. Maybe a .gif demonstration would be helpful.

i would....but i only use Firefox as a streaming screen for the map. so Firefox is a "Stationary" thing.  i didnt even think about grabbing the Firefox data.... i can do that this tuesday but it'll be a different game group on a different game in itself.
February 06 (8 years ago)
Thank you. Could you also let us know whether these issues persist when all of your browser extensions and anti-virus programs are temporarily disabled?

Figured out how to reproduce the behavior, at least on my end. Select the token and move it just enough for it to think you want to move it and then let go while it's still in the same square. Until you deselect and re-select the token, the bubbles and such don't show. So my guess is that when people select a token, sometimes they hold the mouse button just a little long and the token moves a fraction of a fraction of an inch and that causes it to think you want to move the token instead of selecting it for the bubbles.
February 06 (8 years ago)
Ah, I'm seeing that behaviour, as well (in Firefox and Chrome).

Its not even that.  its literally trying to click on the token and nothing is coming up for an "interface".   i'm pretty careful with my clicking to not move the token.  but i recreated the situation of what you just said and yeah i'm seeing that, but its a little bit different on my end.   It almost feels like a RAM issue or something.  I have ALOT of programs open on my PC to deal with streaming and trying to host lots of people playing, along with having many tabs open on my chrome.
the problem only happens when the other players are actually joined in on the game.  but when i try to recreate the problem on my own, it works perfectly and i can click on the token each and every time and the interface will pop up for changes.

EDIT: my PC is a pretty high-end PC,  with an 8-Core CPU, 1000W PSU, 16gigs of RAM, R9 290x Vid card. Win 7 64x

Here's the Bug report via Chrome, with no extensions enabled.   it seems to only be doing this on chrome.

Here's the bug report on FF.  the bug does not do this on FF

xTimmyx, have you tried disabling your all your extensions temporarily to see if any of those are causing the issue with token selection?
