Background layer gets confused

I keep running into a situation where once in a while I have to redraw my entire map as it mostly gets jumbled and squished into the upper left corner as a mass of shapes. this is probably the 4th or 5th time this has happened to me causing me to redraw my map nearly from scratch.

I apologize that you have had to deal with this. Unfortunately, this has been a hard bug for us to pin down. Could you please go to this post: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/328978/some-drawn-objects-move-to-the-top-corner-second-time#post-385980 and provide any insights you can as to what is happening in your campaign before the art objects move. As a workaround please try the following: 1) Create a second map in your campaign, set the size of that map to double the size of the map having issues (original map). 2) Go to the original map and go to the background layer. 3) Click on the map somewhere 4) Hit Ctrl+A (select all) 5) Hit Ctrl+C (copy) 6) Switch to the second map. 7) Click on the center of the map 8) Hit Ctrl+V (paste) 9) Hit Ctrl+A 10) Align the layer as desired. If the problem happens again please check both maps. Hopefully it wont happen on the second map and you can either use it or import it back to the first map. - Gauss
I think I've finally tracked down the underlying issue for this. It was being caused by setting the fill/stroke/line width of a group of drawings at once. There's a fix out on Dev, will be out on Main when Rugged Reroll comes out here in about a month. In the mean time, if you avoid setting the fill/stroke/line width of a group of drawings at once, you shouldn't have this issue. Alternatively, if after setting the fill/stroke/line width, you then move the drawings (even if it's just a pixel) while they are still grouped, you won't see this issue.
Actually I was able to push out a partial fix to Main. So you shouldn't get the unexpected result of things moving around anymore, ignore my previous post about needing to do any workarounds. The only thing that's not fixed on Main that's fixed on Dev now is setting the font size of a group of Text elements -- they will move to a different location on Main but stay put as they should on Dev. But at least you "see" that happen so there shouldn't be anymore surprises of reloading your campaign only to see things in a totally messed up state. Note that this fix is only "going forward", meaning you may still reload and see things messed up from your last edit session (sorry), but it shouldn't happen again after you edit things today.
