Dynamic Lighting for doors

In this older post people sugges to move the doors to the GM layer for opening it. I have tried this but then there is a problem... looks like you cannot send the object back to the dynamic lightning layer! Is there any way of doing it?

Yes, you can copy the object, delete the object, paste the object on the DL layer.
At mentor level you would get access to the API and could make use of scripts that automate the door reveal process *cough*shamless self promotion*cough*
I usually just delete the doors. I don't have time shifting layers and all that during game time and I rarely re-use maps. Though a better way of handling this would be awesome. I know that we can only draw lines on dynamic lighting layer. What would be cool would be a way to use an image on that layer, and have only transparent squares pass through transparencies. That means we could A) Use generic D20 Doors for doorways, which could easily be deleted or moved. B) Use photoshop or a program like it to basically take a map and turn it into an outline without the floors, so that it could easily act as a dynamic lighting layer. Having some kind of filter or automated process for this would rock! Nice to hope, expecting nothing, but figured it's a good idea to spitball around.
