How too make macros token specefic?

So im new too roll20, and ive tried to find a video or written guide, but with no luck so far.  I am currently running death house,  and we will be done after next sesion, so i wanted to set up a couple of the random encounters my players might meet in Borovia. But so far without much luck. Ive tried making the macro under "abilityis" of my npc (A wolf, macro is for bite) and then hit the "show in token actions" check box, but so far with out it ever showing up, then ive made the same macro, in "macros" but then it shows up for ALL npc tokens... (and that would be equally frustrating in the end)  the macro it self works when i test it, it looks like this : /em wolf growls angrily leaps forward and bites /roll 1d20+4 [[2d4+3]] skade So any sugestions? Any good toturials on how too do this ive over looked ?No matter what, thanks for the help in advance guys!
So you created the macro in the  Attributes and Ability tab and clicked the box that says "Show as Token Action". Great! Have you made sure that your token is  Linked to the Journal entry? Finally, make sure that you click off the token  and re-click. The token actions do not update automatically in the top-left corner.
Okay, ive obvisuly not done the second thing, and this might be due too the time here, but i dont seem to be able to wrap my head aroun it fully.  So, token tools, is the cogwhell that is besides the token right? In there, i under the drop down menu choose "wolf" from my jurnal, as the entery the token should be linked too, now i get my bite option. But doo i have to go there and do that each time i drop a token, or am i doing this wrong (again)?  Becouse as it is it is not saved :s  Sorry if im asking stupid questions and thanks for the help again.
Not a problem, this is a concept that is hard to comprehend at first, but extremely simple once you understand the problem. In the link above "Linked to the Journal" it has a step-by-step process for setting up the tokens. Play close attention to steps 6-10. You need to make sure that you have your token set up before these steps. Once it is (and for now just focus on ensuring that your token "represents" the character "Wolf"), open up the Wolf character sheet. If you did this right, shift double-clicking on the token with open the character sheet to the Bio & Information tab. Similarly, alt double-clicking with open the Attributes and Abilities tab discussed earlier. In the character sheet, click edit in the top-right corner. Once in the main edit you have the option to change the name of the character, set tags, who can edit/control the character as well as a basic picture, and the extremely important default token. If there is already a default token, hover over the image and click remove. Then make sure that you have the correct token selected on the map and click the "Use Selected Token" button.
That helped! Ive been doing it the wrong order.. Thanks a lot for the help Kyle! Now ill go find some new dificulties with this ;)
