So I have not used (and do not yet know how to use) the API. I was thinking I would like to build the skill for improved gaming but could not find a step 1 or selcome to API so to speak in the wiki & help docs. Where do I go to learn about, download, learn to use the API?

API Documentation is on the wiki. For the more general information, any JavaScript tutorial on the web will help. Underscore.js is available for use.

Probably the easiest way to jump into the API is to look at scripts that other people have written. Find one in the API forum that does something you might like and load it up.

Thank you, I looked on the wiki and did not see it. I even tried useing search (ctrl+f). I am thinking that is what I get for trying to get started while tired.

I am starting with two options one listed in the API Wiki for roll20, CodeAcademy and then also JavaScript Diaries as the primers. I did download ebooks to support the latter.
