Good evening, afternoon or morning, which ever you find yourself in today. I'm looking for one or two players to join me and a few friends in play testing the new, in development rpg, Star Trek Adventures. We are currently starting at the first play test mission, with pre-gen characters. We play on Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm est and play for a few hours. This is a great opportunity to learn a new system, give feedback to the devs on how the rules work, and just have some role-playing fun in the Star Trek universe. Any knowledge level of Star Trek is fine, even if you have barely watched it. An interest in sci-fi action and intrigue is all that you really need. New player, old player, returning player, expert player, novice player, doesn't really matter. What matters is a willingness to have some fun, and being able to meet the schedule. So what are we looking for in a player? Do you have a microphone that allows people to understand what you are saying? Can you use, or are you willing to learn how to use Discord for voice, and Roll20 to play the game? Can you make most Thursday nights? Are you fine with me posting the sessions on my Youtube channel, (Are you a Youtuber or Streamer? Not required, just asking.)? If you can answer yes to the above 4 questions, then reply to this post. I will contact each person and try to find those that will be the best fit, and hopefully get you ready to play in our next session this Thursday. Thanks for taking the time to read through this, you can get a feel for our games at my Youtube channel, ( https://www.youtube.com/user/SirLucien/videos ), below I will post the blurb for the game we are currently playing to help you get a feel for the campaign. The playtest gives fans of the legendary television series and films the
opportunity to contribute to the development of the game; to sit in the
captain’s chair, seek out new life and new civilizations, give all
they’ve got to a warp core breach, or explore their own adventures in
the Star Trek universe. The living campaign begins with
playtest missions and will continue with the release of the core
rulebook in the summer of 2017. The living campaign takes place in the
Shackleton Expanse, an area of space vastly unexplored by both the
Federation and the Klingons. Starbase 364, Narendra Station, named after the battle of Narendra III where the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C was destroyed, serves as the keep on the borderlands for excursions out into the frontier of space. As the crews of the U.S.S. Venture , U.S.S. Bellerophon , U.S.S. Thunderchild ,
explore strange anomalies and discover new life while uncovering an
ancient civilization and mysterious technologies, those aboard the U.S.S. Lexington will shape historical events for those very ships. The opening scene in the first adventure - Your shuttle trip to Narendra Station to take your assignment on your commissioned starship has turned out to be more eventful than you anticipated. As you and your fellow Starfleet graduates chatted about your bright futures, you received a distress signal from Xerxes 4, an uninhabited Class M planet containing no life except for a Federation science team. The distress signal offered no information except that the science team stationed there was in danger. As you took the shuttle toward the planet’s surface, you were caught in a violent ion storm that knocked out navigation, forcing a crash-landing on the planet’s surface. http://www.modiphius.com/star-trek.html
