We’re an international group of friends (3 English, 1 Australian, and 1 American) who have met via gaming over the last couple of years. We’re looking for a DM who is interested in running either a gestalt variant or normal rules of 5th Edition D&D– though we’d prefer gestalt. Our regular playtime would be Fridays about 1pm USA Eastern. We don't have a preferance for skype or discord About the PCs generally: • Mix of students and young professionals – ages vary from early 20s to early 30s • Mixed gender (3 guys and 2 gals) • Mixed 5e experience • Fun loving, lighthearted, and pretty nerdy • Focused on story and character progression • Some interest in home brew classes from dndwiki with DM pre-approval • Long-term game desired (though can be episodic or with several arcs) Potential DMs: • Interest in running gestalt is preferred but not required • Structured story arcs in a living world • Blend of investigation/RP/combat What is Gestalt? Gestalt is a player character with two different level progressions on the same character. So, the character would have the all the skills, proficiencies, and abilities of two classes simultaneously but only the hit dice of one. For example, you could be a paladin/fighter As seen in 3.5: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm?PHPSESSID=06d8a289640dff28d60f7bafb3260929 One of the ways it has been adapted in 5e: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Gestalt_(5e_Variant_Rule)
