[LFP] 5e Looking for a GM and two more players (GMT/CET)

Hello everyone! I recently joined a D&D 5e group here on Roll20, but after a couple of sessions I've already decided that once a week isn't enough for me. Two other players and myself (all beginners) are looking to start a new group for weekly sessions, preferable in the evenings (GMT/CET time zone), but this is up for debate depending on the day. We're looking for two more players to join our group, and a DM to guide us through our first adventure together, starting some time in March. We're interested in pretty much anything set in the traditional fantasy D&D universe, starting at level 1. Other than that, the DM would have complete freedom - as long as it's a beginner-friendly adventure, of course. I'm currently playing through Lost Mine of Phandelver with my other group, but I don't mind going through it again. If you're interested, we'd love to know: - Your name and age - If you want to play or DM - When you'd be available - Your experience with RPGs and D&D 5e - If you already have an idea of the character you'd like to play - If you'd prefer voice or video chat We'd love to hear from you - and looking forward to our first game!

Falk
Plus
Hi Yara, As you can guess, my name is Falk. I'm 44 years old, and my best times are Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, about 20:00-20:30 CET  (depending on the kids and their will to fall asleep). Weekends are for family and my pen&paper group, on Tuesdays I DM Curse of Strahd here on roll20 for another group.  That said, I've played D&D and AD&D in the several editions (skipping 4th ed for Pathfinder) most of the time, with a bit of other systems (WoD, CoC, Traveller, Paranoia, SR) in breaks in between. In the last years I more and more DMed and played less. And pretty dramatic: I haven't played 5e myself as a player yet. So I definitely want to play. Ideas for characters I have plenty (no surprise if you don't get to play). The characters I most often end up with are either elvish wizards or human rogues. With the 5e ruleset I would like to try a halfling fighter. Clerics don't do it for me - an Arcana domain (Swordcoast rulebook) gnome would be possible, but I prefer my gnomes to be illusionist wizards. So, in my desperation to play I am wide open to the choice of character. I prefer voice chat over video, mainly because the lighting in my "gaming room" is such that you would see a bright light from the lamp and then lots of shades, some moving (that would be me).
Player Name: Jared K. Time Zone: Pacific Availability: Any weekday after 3 p.m., weekends before 4 p.m. Age: 24 Character Race : Lightfoot Halfling Character Class : Rogue Character Name : Merric Thorngage Alignment : Neutral good Background : Merric was born like many halflings within a small friendly community built within a secluded glade which was well known to those who were considered allies. However one day a group of well armed soldiers arrived within the limits of the village announcing that these lands were to be seized in preparation for a new castle which must be built for the Lord Raygar, an extremely self centered and un-feeling man. Frightened and still only 10 years old Merric found himself being ushered into a secret hiding spot within his families home by his mother and father. Soon all that could be heard was the shouting of the soldiers and the screams of the townspeople as they were slain if any resistance was shown. Crying and by himself Merric had no idea whether his parents were alive or dead and began to smell smoke and feel heat emanating from outside the hiding spot. Bursting through the doorway and out into the village he sees multiple buildings engulfed in flames, and many corpses line the streets friends and neighbors lay dead heads removed full of enough arrows to be pincushions. Tears brimming in his eyes Merric runs deep into the surrounding forest knowing deep in his heart he could never forgive the lord who stole his life from him. Using his halfling stealth and ability to make friends anywhere he went Merric found himself in a large city surrounded by pickpockets, thieves, and scoundrels which surprisingly fit his bawdy and sly attitude which had developed since the tragedy in his past. Always on the look for the next adventure, treasure chest, or tavern with ale and song Merric has become a rouge known to accept both difficult retrieval missions as well as random good deeds that may need a special finesse.

- Name : Alex, 27 - DM or Player: I would love to join as a player as my current exerpience isnt that vast. - Availbility: Weekdays past 5pm (GMT) Saturday Free and Sunday Until 3pm - Experience: Most of my experience I am gather now in my current game (5e) that is running on Sunday. However I feel like my thrist for another game isnt quenched.  - My Character: Im most comfortable with some kind of spell-caster or range damage dealer. In my current game im playing a healer. Which I really love. So are you in need of a healer? Hit me up aswell! Are you in need of a warlock? You have to hit me up.  Saying this I hope you understand that Im rather flexible when it comes to characters. So if you have a wish (DD or Support) you can always tell me.  I love to create a character that I feel connected with and can have fun with. Which class that is, doesnt matter too much.  - Voice/Video: Im most "ok" with having Voice. Video would be hard for me to get working since I dont have a cam on my current set up.  I speak fluent english, german and swedish if that has any impact.  Hit me up for more questions
