We are looking to add another player to our Storm King's Thunder campaign from Wizards. I have made some modifications to the story line and have modified the leveling milestones and plan to go on further past this module to more advanced levels. The game schedule can be variable although we try to play biweekly on Thursdays at 8pm EST. However, at times we may only get to play every third week and may even play on different days of the week depending on everyone's schedule so keep this in mind before you apply. We are at the beginning stages of chapter 3 with the characters currently at 7th level. Your character will start at 7th level as well. All core material along with Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, Elemental Evil, and UA are available for character creation except no characters with innate flying ability such as Aarakocra. Also no evil characters allowed. No PvP.  3rd party material is also allowed (several of the players are using races from Kobold Press) pending preapproval by me.8 About Me: I am 47 yo with irregular work schedule hence the somewhat variable game times. I've been playing D&D 5e since close to inception as a player (mostly here on Rolll20), but this is my first foray into DMing. My only other experience with D&D is way back in the AD&D days and I barely remember those days ;-) About the Group: This is an easy going and friendly close knit group of 30 to 40 somethings who've been playing together off and on in various campaigns for the past few years. Everyone is very familiar with 5e and Roll20. The group currently consists of a monk, bard, ranger/rogue, and a barb/paladin. Application:  If this is a game that interests you please post application below. Here is the info I want to see: Name and age: Experience with D&D and Roll20: Anything else you want to tell me about yourself: Character Name: Race: Class: Character background:
Played every edition of DND in existence.  Played A LOT of pathfinder.  Played a fair amount of 5E.  Have Gm'd at least 7-9 campigns here on roll 20 and sadly only got to play in 1.  So hard to get in games unless you run them these days. My goal as a player is just to make sure people are having fun and the gm is able to keep things flowing and his story going.  I like to help keep the game rolling in whatever form that may be. Akeeka AArakocra Monk(would love to dabble in rogue monk duel class) but w/e the gm says is cool-- My whole race has been extinguished except for me(at least to my knowledge). I swore an Oath to the keeper to either find a way to save my race if any are left.... Or to make god damn sure that they remember AKEEKA and the brave Aarakocra that once flew these skies.
i am cool with the rotating schedules as I manage a restuarant so I too have varied hours but I have some say in arranging my schedule so... if IM IN !!! IM THE BIG WINNER!! lol jk I can make sure i am off and ready for the 9th as well.  Thanks guys and either way enjoy the campaign!
Thanks Ricky for posting interest. Sorry I should have put this on the original post but no flying characters. That 3rd dimension is probably a little too much for this relatively new DM to handle. I'll edit the post to reflect that. Also one of the players is already playing a monk. This is a small 4 man group  so probably not ideal to double up but if you're dead set on a monk I'm sure we can make it work if you're selected.

Name and age: Kuzin, 30. Timezone & Availability: EST. Mon-Fri: After 7:00p. Saturday: Nope. Sunday: Whenever.  Experience with D&D and Roll20: A few years of 3.5, New-ish to 5e, Years of WoD games, New-ish to Roll20. Anything else you want to tell me about yourself: I am a Designer, Amatuer Musician, and Crappy Illustrator. I like most things that can be categorized as Fantasy, Sci-Fi, or Fiction. Character Name: Gronky Race: Forest Gnome Class: Illusion Wizard Character background: The shortened version... Gronki never grew up. At least in the eyes his two older brothers, Erky & Frug - the twins. At 2' 8", he was only a few inches shorter than the twins, but his short and thick stature and large eyes made the two seem to tower over him. The three children lived with their father, an accomplished gem cutter and an appointed craftsman to the Lord of Waterdeep. A small dilapidated storefront nestled tightly between two large trading warehouses in an off-beat section of the South Ward is where the children and proud father called home. During the day, Erky & Frug assisted their father in running the storefront and making deliveries. It was Gronki's job to tend to the shop's floors, empty the chamber pot, and clean his father's favorite slippers. The twins were relentless in their teasing, often forcing poor Gronki to finish their chores while they went off to see the traveling entertainers that often set up shop in the South Ward. But while his brothers were away, Gronki would spend his time reading old spellbooks and historical scrolls, filling his brain with more knowledge than he knew what to do with.  In the summer of his 19th nameday, Gronki's father came down with an incurable sickness. His two older brothers had left Gronki to tend for his father, as they went off to seek their fortunes. After Gronki's father passed, stricken by grief, he left the city behind and headed east, deep into to the High Forest. And here is where Gronki remained, for well over 30 years - in a small shack he had found, covered by an illusion to hide it from sight (from anyone but the fey people, whom he always found friendship). Here he continued to read and practice magic. Obsessed with creating illusions to both protect and entertain himself - here he honed and perfected his craft.  One day, while Gronki was out picking mushrooms and berries he met an injured elven ranger named Alyndra who had been tracking an Owlbear and fell into a Boggle's magicked trap - turning her foot to stone. Gronki helped the ranger, taking her back to his shack and treating her foot. Over the few weeks she remained at his shack recovering, Alyndra spoke of tales of adventure and impossible encounters. To Gronki, it felt like one of his books. He became bewildered by her stories and even after she had left, he found himself dreaming of the tales she had told. He thought to himself : Could he have adventures like these? Would he ever be able to leave these wilds, his shack, his books behind?  Gronki packed up a bag of his most important belongings, closed the door behind him, and set out to start his own story.

I like Kuz's format, so I has a borrow... Name and age: Craig. 44 yrs Timezone & Availability: CST . Tue-Fri: After 6:00pm . Saturday: Not a problem. Sunday: After 2pm . Experience with D&D and Roll20: I've been playing since the early 80's, 5e since its inception, lots of DMing experience, so it's nice to be able to play, Good familiarity with Roll20 (though it's been a while since I've played here). Anything else you want to tell me about yourself: Father of a severely autistic child, but he's rarely disruptive...he can get loud sometimes. Character Name: Meikas Race: Half-elf Class: Death Warlock Background: Meikas's fascination with death began at a young age. He would sometimes discover dead animals (much to the consternation of his mother) and note how the animal would decay. Upon leaving home, he began his search for beings that could help him understand death and its workings, which was how he came upon Larloch the Shadow King. The Shadow King, usually very protective of his privacy, was in a whimsical mood this day and placed Meikas under a geas. Taking Larloch as his patron, Meikas has traveled extensively throughout the Realms doing his master's work. Upon retrieving an item infused with the blue fire of the Spellplague for his master, Larloch released Meikas from his Geas and has allowed the warlock to roam the Realms with the understanding that he may be called upon again at a later date. Meikas has returned to the Sword Coast looking for power and adventure. Edit: I see that you only have room for one player, so I will just leave this here in case you need an additional player to join. I am certainly interested, however, and would love to be able to play this particular module before running it for my group(s).
No worries Craig. Applications are still open. This isn't first come first serve, trying to see who would be the best fit for the group. I plan on closing applications in about a week. As far as your character what alignment is the death warlock? I should have put this in the original post, I'll edit it now, but no evil characters, although some of my players like to push the limits lol.
No, not evil...definitely neutral. I don't often have fun playing evil characters, though it can be interesting to play one who joins with good characters because their agendas align.
I am extremely flexible!!! I also really enjoy playing Genasi !! (I was just really enjoying my Aarakocra but its all the same for me.  Hardest part was making sure to not over use the flying to not break the game at all to keep it fair haha.) Not sure how i didnt notice you already have a monk as well. I think the party could benefit from either an Elrich Knight fighter(spell casting tough guy). Or if im feeling extra special some, kind of battle hardened cleric bot lol. I just wanna play and have some fun. Its get tiring being 1 of the only dedicated players in every group -- or being the gm everytime cuz its too hard to get in a group otherwise lol.  I just love this game hahahaha
