Session 4

Well, what can I say? Last week you were all the Gods of D&D. You walked through my dungeon like you knew where everything was. You found the traps and secret doors and went straight to the Bosses room and basically one shoted him. While this week was a cluster fuck. It started out good. You found the Wizards laboratory. You captured his familiar. You read his books and took his magic items. Unfortunately you didn't take time to attune to them or just return to the Inn to rest and attune to your new toys there. Sir William used his Charisma to convince a patrolling Bugbear that he was a Redbrand, he had a cape after all and most humans look alike to Bugbears. He lured him into an ambush that went very well. The plan was set and Sir William went fishing for another Goblinoid. Unfortunately, when the Hobgoblin was on his way to the trap, Glanbir decided to whack him with his war hammer and missed. The Hobgoblin then yelled to his mate on the South side of the cavern to get help and that you were all deceivers and infiltrators. Things went down hill from here. But you still had plenty of chance to get out or set up some sort of trap. Bryndon had a scroll of fireball . The fighters could have killed the one Hobgoblin while Bryndon waited with his scroll and killed nearly everyone once they came out into the open. Or you could have just bugged out then. But as is usually the case in D&D, the players felt invincible, even when the DM was saying that you might want to consider getting the hell out of Dodge. I dropped the ball a couple of times by not getting the bad guys into the turn order. This gave the party a couple of more turns to get out. But that was not what happened. Stefanos put it best when he said that today's game was a roller coaster ride of emotion. I really thought I was going to TPK you on 4 different occasions in today's game. Last time was when Glasstaff came out to join the fray. But due to Sir William, Count Corlin Hill, and his noble bearing, you survived. At the last possible minute, he intimidated a bugbear and a Redbrand and they turned on their master Glasstaff. This was the turning of the tide. Soon everyone was dead you were victorious. Revel well in your victory for I am sure you will do something stupid in the future and Glasstaff will have his revenge! Ha ha ha! (Just joking) Now to the Good stuff. Glasstaff is in custody in the basement of the Townmaster's Hall. Gagged and bound in a cell. You killed a lot of local boys today. Who knows how Phandalin will react to that news. Many of Sir Williams future followers and Henchmen are dead in the bottom of the Crevasse. But you did get some good loot and a buttload of XP. What is cape of the mists couldnt find info on it.
It's in the game in the Magic Item folder. It let's anyone cast the Misty Step spell twice per day.
And i think its just myself and william that have no darkvision correct?
i didn't know i had a scroll of fireball
you are carrying 10 pounds of tnt and you didnt know??
Peter, You, William and Beulah are the humans. Any of you can benefit from the googles. You perhaps more than the others as you can stealth up ahead with you cape and goggles and "vamp" back if necessary. It's a tough choice you will all have to make. The "Bow string" can be used by you or Beulah. The arrows also. Andy
