Question Regarding Restricting What Other Players Can See

Hey guys! My name is Rachel and I am new to Roll20. I am really sorry in advance if this question is dumb or has already been answered in one of the online help resources, but I couldn't find it anywhere and I just wanted to ask. For my campaign I am working on, I really want to provide my players with a strong journal that they can come back to for resources. I am an artist and I am really hoping to make some nice artwork for the journal that they can utilize as somewhat of a codex for the game. Originally, I had really wanted the journal to have a good collection of character bios from the universe, but now that I am actually getting to the building part of the campaign, I realize that there isn't a way to turn off visibility on the character sheets. Honestly, I am probably misunderstanding how to use Roll20 or perhaps I just haven't found the right setting yet. But, I really don't want the players to have access to the character sheet of every character I put in the journal. There are some notes and special abilities and things I have tucked away that the players shouldn't know about until they become relevant in the story. Is there a way to have the character present in the journal but block other players from seeing just the character sheet? I just want them to get the image and short bio. Or maybe my best option is to create two entries for each character: one with character sheet that is restricted to only my view, and a dummy entry that just has the character bio and image which everyone can see. Any advice on the best way to structure a journal this way? Thanks in advance!

If you set a character to be visible to a player (or 'all players') but not editable, they will be able to see the bio and picture, but they will not be able to see the character sheet.

You are a saint! Thank you. I feel silly knowing that the answer was there all along. But, much more reassured knowing there won't be any mishaps once my friends get added to the game. Thank you!
Also another thing to conciser if you are building a codex of sorts, is something I do in my tinker heavy campaign. In the Journal tab where you create character sheets, you can create folders and handouts. You can upload and add pictures to the hand outs and add information via txt for your players to see and/or edit them selfs', and you can group things in the folders, like chapters, or NPCs of importance, things like that. In addition there is a GM section that you can see and edit and no one else will EVER see it unless it is from your account or a co GM. Just more options you can add. Most importantly, have fun!

Awesome! That is great help. I am really looking forward to seeing all the ideas I have come together the more I am working on it. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with me! I will definitely put it to good use :).
