It has been a devastating attack this year my children, but now is the time to shine. Gather your things and lets see if we can make something great out of this horrible destruction. The six heroes went to fight the witches and stop all this madness, but only four returned they will be remembered. My children this is where you come along we are part of the (??????) guild and will make a name for ourselves, beware though the competition is high out there on the streets and sometimes violent. Find the other guild make deal, take them out, do what you will, but remember falling into the darkness will only take the light of this guild house away. Now go seek fame, fortune and make this guild proud! All players will begin their adventure as part of one single guild. How this is created and what it specializes in is completely up to the players. Once we have our player team then we will use the skype IM function to allow players to discuss how they want to customized their starting guild. This is done completely together and their are very very limitations for creativity sake. All players were born in a small town right outside the capital city the population is about 113 very small and all the players have known each other the whole time and been part of the guild as a family. So, when creating a back story your characters will already know each other very well and have the desire to make your guild house the best. Before the game starts players will discuss their characters personality with each other to make it show that you have been together for a while. Other than that the back story is completely up to you. Character Creation Rules/My GMing Style 20 Point buy with no stat being below 8 All Character must come up with a back story to their character. This will be a Heavy role playing Campaign still with a lot of combat. No Third Party don't even ask. Start level 2 with level 2 gold Core Races only All classes Allowed. Summoners are limited. Things to know about me If you are a power gamer and think your character should be strong over building a story this game is not for you Your characters will get strong trust me. I will not kill players to feed a need to “beat” you I do not show my rolls at all (it prevents meta gaming) I do consider myself a fair GM my rule is pretty much ask and I will think about it. We will be using Skype for everything this is not a text based Game at all. Questions let me know. 4-5 players.

Nobody is even going to give you a second glance if you've not got info posted.
It takes place in a time of aftermath where the world was just at war with strange creatures and the players belong to a guild house which they are all related. The guild is very open to how the players want to customize it as a general example the players can belong to a thieves guild/mages guild or just a blacksmiths guild.... things like that the possibilities are endless I will set limits when its time to do so. A short preview.
Hey, man. I'd be interested in joining.

Provided the starts were 7 CST i would be able to make them reliably. I've played Pathfinder for only a little more than a year, but have, since i started, played most of the classes up to past level 10, quite a few races, and run (currently) two different Pathfinder campaigns. Some Pathfinder Society and some more home-brew style. Interested in what you're proposing despite how vague it is, but not many things would disinterest me. I also have character concepts that could fit any role that the "guild" or group looks like it might lack.
Please Check the thread it has been updated.
I'm interested. To clarify, did we form this guild or did we join/grow up in it. Also the guild based in our town, right? Or did we grow up together in the town and then go to the city to join/form the guild? How are half-orcs, witches, and oracles viewed in our town? You mentioned a war with witches; would a witch player character have to keep his/her nature secret?
You grew up in the town which the town was already part of the guild. Witches would be fine same with oracles you may get a few look and might not help for diplomatic situations, but no one is going to hunt you down. The people who attacked we constructs and Hags.
The Party is currently a Cleric(Battle Frontliner) and a Front liner (ranger) Could use something with a bit of healing the cleric and do a little bit but his spells are limited. Other than that let me know what you are thinking.

Alright, in that case, and if you're fine with me (a guy) playing a female character, I'm thinking of playing a female, half-elf witch (if you'd prefer that I play as a guy that's fine, I have some other character concepts I can run with). She's very inquisitive and obsessessed with trying new things and learning about the world. Witches can heal pretty well if they take the healing hex + memorize the cure line of spells. Due to her adventurous outlook on life, she's up for most anything (as long as it isn't too unethical). Is this campaign set in Golarion, or some other setting? If it's in Golarion, what region is our town in? I ask for character background purposes.

Hello! This sounds quite cool, I'm interested in joining. I was thinking of making a cavalier character. I'm still drafting it for now but I am probably going to play some sort of female from a patriarchal (though not sexist) noble family who, knowing she wouldn't be inheriting any of the family things, is setting out to make her own way in the world. She would have joined the guild after realizing the only other way to be successful would be to marry someone rich.
Also, I would like everyone to put in their backstory what they were doing and how they were feeling during the war. It lasted for about 3 years.
Also, are we using traits? If so can I take the resilient trait (+1 to fortitude saves). The description says that it's due to spending your childhood in squalor, but I was thinking it would be something she'd acquired due to the various misadventures she's had due to growing up with her personality (e.g. trying to jump from the top of the inn to the roof of the adjacent building, eating strange foods, getting black-out drunk at a party, etc).

I guess then it would work better if my charecter was the daughter of the leader of a different guild. She was the youngest, with several older brothers and an older sister. During the war, her siblings fought bravely while all my character could do was hide and train as she was too young to fight. She felt helpless and useless throughout the war. Her siblings and parents were so busy with the war she was left neglected, looked after only by an old stablemaster. He taught her all about horses and what they could do. He taught her how to use the strength of the beast to make up for her own weakness. After the war ended, she felt isolated from the rest of her family. They made merry and told stories of the war leaving her mostly forgotten. Lacking the outlet she needed in the guild of her family, she ran away on the back of her favorite horse with the blessing of the stablemaster. She traveled until she found somewhere she could be her own person, not carried on the coat tails of her family. Eventually, she found the guild which will now be created and decided it would be a wonderful opportunity to find her place in the world. How does that sound?

Still interested. If we figure out what everyone else is, i can decide my character around whatever the guild might be lacking, and a back-story for him/her thereafter (Since i think the story of a character depends on what kind of class the character has grown into). I notice you're using Skype, if you want my Skype is "kroamaa" under the name "Kroama".

We could use an arcane caster.
I would be down for playing a bard if that fills the requirements for Arcane caster.
I have a sorcerer that I have been sitting on.

We are looking for one more.
I would like to join. As for general character background was considering a character that focuses on protecting the weak and his friends. Considering a fighter but can play another class as needed.
I would like to join. However I would like to play a summoner (I have never been able to play one unfortunately). Wilhelm Kainin is a half-elf male around 19-20 years old. As a child it was obvious that he was... abnormal. Strange things seemed to always follow him in the shadows. Dogs and horses watched him warily, and cats bolted at the sight of him. For the longest time no one knew what it was. He was a normal child, and despite his half-heritage was well liked by the others. It wasn't until later in his life, when the war started, that his nature grew apparent. It was when the "recruiters" came to town. Little more than thugs, they "persuaded" people into joining the army. When they tried to persuade Wilhelm that which lurked in the shadows came forth. It was a bloody mess, the stench of death filled the alley for weeks afterwards. Now apparent that he was a Summoner, and with an utter distaste for the military and the war, Wilhelm began to hone his talents to serve his friends and his guild, his Eidolon watching from the shadows. I am open to limitations imposed on the summoner (I have never even played one, so there's no loss there). If you don't need a summoner, or don't want one, then I can play to fill any other class.
I'd be interested in joining as well, although I see two have posted above me already. Not sure how you work out who you recruit, but if you're looking for the first one of us, Eric wins! Otherwise let me know and I'd be happy to work up a backstory, possible as an Oracle since they don't usually see much light of day.
If there are still spots open, I'd be happy to join. I've got a few character ideas that I personally think would fit in, but ultimately, it's all up to you, Kyle. I'm fairly good with backstories and stories in general, so that's not an issue for me. My characters are generally fairly round and dynamic, along with personalities and quirks that make them memorable and fun to be around. I'm good with rules, and tend to know how my characters work inside and out. Of course, don't feel inclined to pick me over the others who were quicker to respond.
