Plus 24 or 48 hour trial period...

I am very interested in the advanced features, but I want to see if they can do what I am wanting them to do. I would like a 24 or 48 hour trial period to be able to test the Plus features to see if I can. Any way this can be implemented? It would not be difficult to set a hour limit per user account for a trial use... And before getting the smackdown... I did search and this looks like it was suggested here about 6 months ago: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3852825/slug%7D And the Dev team responder (Silvyre) said to go to Suggestions & Ideas and post it for voting, but you have to have Pro or Plus to be able to post in voted forums, so, you have to get a subscription to suggest that you can get a trial.... sort of defeats the purpose of requesting the trial. And even if the post made it into that forum, you can only vote if you already have a subscription....so this sort of loops back on itself again and can go nowhere.... Next step?

Minor correction: you get a vote full year you have had an account on the site, plus an additional 5 votes for being a Plus subscriber or an additional 10 votes for being a Pro subscriber. See: https://wiki.roll20.net/Forum_Voting But to address a trial period, it is a good suggestion. The current best way to try-before-you-buy is to find a Plus or Pro subscriber willing to GM you in one of their games so you can try out the features.

My apologies for the error. I had not read anything that said I would get a vote after a year on the site, and must have missed that on the Roll20 wiki. Thank you for the suggestion, but I am interested in how the features work from a GMing standpoint in game/map design. I am looking to enhance an in-person gaming group and would not have time to spend to find a group that using the features I want to see used, including API scripting, etc... Your response is much appreciated. :)

Last Roll20Con, the Devs made Dynamic Lighting available at all levels for the duration of the con. It was one of the deciding factors that made me decide to subscribe.

I'd also like to mention that Silvyre is a member of the mod team, not a developer. As cool as he is, he has no direct say in whether a trial system is implemented. =)
I would love this as well, but probably a little longer than 48 hours for those of us who can't sit down and try all the features at a time. Maybe a week or so in order to plan a game and see how it all works together and stuff, and then you can see if it's worth it going back after that game or if you wanna keep all these features and go pro. (Especially if you're one of us broke college students...)

It is worth it to subscribe for a month, to test the features for a full month at less than the price of lunch. https://app.roll20.net/account/supporter

I've been a part of the site since 09/2014 and a pro user for nearly as long. I 100% recommend it. I don't think I could use the site as a free user any more.
IIRC, before Roll20 Con last year, if you signed up to run a session on the day of the Con, you got access to Dynamic Lighting for the two weeks (or so) prior to the Con to allow for prep.

This topic has pretty much been answered at this point. As you know, for your suggestions, we offer the Suggestions & Ideas forum, which is based on voting from the whole community. Please review our Forum Voting wiki page for more information on how voting works (which includes the information on gaining 1 vote every year), and our Suggestions & Ideas Posting Guidelines for the added expectations above and beyond our standard Code of Conduct .
