LFG Newish Player

I've been playing d&d with a group of friends on and off for about 2-3 years now. The thing is we play a heavily modified version of pathfinder. Very heavily. So I don't really understand how to even make a character sheet for 5e. That being said, recently its harder and harder to get a group of my friends together so i'm looking for other options cause i'm still interested in doing it. I'd like to do a typical medieval fantasy campaign, the level of fantasy doesn't really matter to me. I'm available pretty much any day after 4pm est. I'd also be interested in doing more than one session per week if possible. Any forms of communication, platforms, etc. work.

Hello, I'm new to pen and paper RPGs. I bought D&D's books a couple weeks ago, mostly because I thought they looked cool. I live in a relatively small town. Getting anyone together for anything other than a bar crawl to the same two bars is a feat worthy of national recognition. If you don't mind a total noob, I'd be interested in joining.
