
Good Morning Everyone. So I have a question on what roll20 can and can't do, specifically with line of sight. I can only speak for Pathfinder because that's all I play, so I don't know if Line of Sight rules work the same in other games, but here is my issue:
An area in complete Darkness: nobody can see except a character with darkvision. This can be done in Roll20 because i can give that player's token sight, and everyone else gets no sight.
Light Source: Here is where it get's tricky. Let's say there is a torch on the wall. It gives 20ft of normal light, 20 ft of dim light. This can be done under "Emits light" 40ft, 20ft. This gives it a 40 ft circle, with it being Dim from 20 to the edge. Now i can click "all players see light" and all players can see this light source when it's in their line of sight.
But a character with Low Light Vision sees twice as far as others from light sources. I don't see a way to make it 40ft 20ft for player A, but 80/40 for player B. I can technically put 2 light sources on top of each other, one being 40/20 the other being 80/40. And instead of clicking "all players see light" i can put "controlled by" and give it's control to whoever can see the correct number. But then line of sight is ignored and they'll see it on the map wherever it is.
Long story short is there a way to specify who can see what light source without breaking line of sight?
