[5e][LFG] Dedicated player looking for long term rp heavy campaign!

Hello! My name is Elias, im 20 years old and im looking for a long term rp heavy campaign to have some fun in! So a bit about me and my experience with dnd. I started playing a little over a year ago after having watched shows like Critical role and The west marches. I know the rules pretty damn well as ive also dm'd my own campaign tho im not a rules lawyer by any means, im all for homebrewed stuff as long as everyone is having fun. Personality wise id like to think that im pretty chill, i get along with most people, especially people i meet through dnd as that usually means we have something awesome in common :D. Im really into rping and im looking for a campaign which prioritizes that, a mix of 70-60% rp and 40-30% combat would be nice. And yeah as i mentioned what got me into dnd were shows ive watched and im particularly fond of Critical role and im hoping to find a campaign with a similar vibe to it. Character wise i prefer playing melee characters, as my first character was a barbarian i fell in love with being all up in the enemies face but im all for trying new stuff if the party requires it. My characters personalities tend to be somewhat jolly and happy, usually the person who tries to get everyones mood up when things are looking sour, i dont like giving them alignments as i prefer to play them as i think theyd behave but if i did theyd be something around LG or CG. I do have some character ideas ready to go tho im all for creating new stuff with the party. A bit of what im looking for in a campaign and a dm. Besides a intriguing story ofc im looking for a open world campaign where we dont have to play in a certain region or kingdom, i like exploring and stuff like that. Now possibly the most important thing is a descriptive dm, what really got me hooked with dnd from watching the shows was how the dms brought the world to life with words, now im not expecting a detailed description of literally everything but enough for us the players to get a good picture of what our surroundings are. We headin to a new city, whats the architecture like, are the streets all populated and bussling or empty, whats the difference in race populations here? We in a cave, does it smell musky as fuck, is it all damp and nasty? We in a bar and a dude giving me the look, the sexy look, whats he wearing, how does he look, how does he carry himself? Stuff like that, im not expecting you to describe exactly how long in inches the grass we're walking on is or what shade of green they are but yeah as i said, just enough to get a good idea of the area we're in. The dm having stuff like that prepared shows the players that the dm has put actual time into the world and in return as a player that makes me want to do my best to make the campaign as fun and enjoyable as possible, for everyone as a show of gratitude. Im gmt +1 btw Other than that i think thats all for now, ive prolly missed alot of important information so ask away if ya got any questions!
If you have any interest in Pathfinder and Episodic adventures I'm recruiting for my Guild based setting. Take a look if you have the time. :)
"im not expecting you to describe exactly how long in inches the grass we're walking on" This was pretty funny.  Sometimes I do that. I know you are looking for 5e, but if you are ever in the mood for scii fi, I will be running a detailed like you seek Traveller in April.
Elias, I am forming a 5e TEXT-BASED, no voice....group that has two players who are writers in it, plus a writing DM (me) that will have a key player in GMT+1 living in Germany, (the other is American) Day to be determined, Starting around 4-5 PM GMT+1.  Not roving around so much, but centered in a Kingdom, and the surrounding lands. Low fantasy, not too settled. not too much magic.  More of a dark ages feel.   Key factors: - Text Only. If that is not your thing, okay.  Normally I run voice, but this group forming, Text was the push, since they want to write and describe. So I am setting that up. - Both players are relatively new to 5e and roll20. - 1st level to start, they want to learn how as we go. - One player is a paladin, and the other a cleric, both of Helm. The God of Protection. The concept here is: Long term campaign, a few hours, once per week. Day still needs to be determined. time might change a bit. I have yet to hear back from player 2 as regards time and day.  at this point, all i am seeking is interest. The Temple of Helm is best by enemies. rival temples, heretics, evil cults.  Greed and corruption within the Temple itself.  Events that challenge their holdings across the land, both inside the Kingdom and outside, since the faith crosses boundaries. So it would be exploration of ruins and things, caves with old artifacts, but not.. let's go follow this map and see...  Essentially the Temple will act as a patron, until power and prestige of the heroes to be  cause them to become self directed. Requirements: Looking for two players, at most 3.  Classes desired: Fighter, Ranger, Monk (of Helm), Another Cleric, another Paladin. We are still working out what will work best, long term. No wizards, definitely no sorcerers. no tieflings. A rogue would have to have a goodly background, no assassins or like that. A dwarf or a half elf would be okay, if of good alignment.. A peasant hero...Maybe a paladin who lost their faith. A cartographer, or someone who has skills and is a recent convert. Low fantasy, with iron man resting rules and critical hits.   Definitely not looking for dungeon crawl phat lewtz back to full every day type play for this one.
