Udel looked over the top of the hill he had just climbed. His small village behind him close to forgotten. No-one he knew had ever climbed this hill and he would be the first to gaze upon it. But he would not return to tell them. He would continue. Press on into the unknown. He knew deep down that there were wonders and secrets innumerable in this world and he would learn them all if it took a thousand lifetimes. Hey guys, there are an infinite number of fantasy worlds out there. It's up to us as players to explore them and find out what they're all about. I've been thinking of starting this game for a while. It's a more simple concept than it sounds. I want to create a totally new fantasy world using RPGs and creative people. I have a few games that I would like to play. These include: - Microscope - Kingdom - The Follow - The Quiet Year My idea is to play each game basically as a one shot but then use the lore created to build this world up. For example we may play one game about the founding of a settlement. The next game will be 100 years in the future when that settlement is now a thriving metropolis. Then the third game we explore the land to the east we have learnt about. My knowledge of Roleplaying Games is not immense by any means but in general I'm looking at games that are based around telling stories and less around rolling dice. I'm open to ideas of other games to play and am not against using more tactical games like D&D as long as they are used to tell the greater story of the world, not to let players level up and get loot. I'd love to know anyone interested in a 'game' like this. Feel free to ask questions and offer suggestions about what the world would be like and how we could learn more about it (or just narrate something in italics). I'm looking for about 5 players but anyone can provide ideas because right now this world is a blank slate.
