Using existing character sheets of D&D 3.5E in the module of Storm King's Thunder

Hello everyone :) I hope that I am in the right forum for my question; if not, I feel sorry :) I am running at the moment the adventure "Storm King's Thunder" with my friends and we are playing this not in 5e, instead we use 3.5e :) At the moment I only owned the book such that I have to scan everything etc.. But since we are only in the first chapter yet we thought about buying the online module here such that I have to prepare less as game master :) (since it is a lot of work using only the book :D ) As far as I saw this in the Wiki it should be no problem to switch the existing characters to the online module (regardless of the subscription one has here). But I am wondering about the different rules: Can one use the character sheets of 3.5e in the online module or is one forced to use the 5e character sheets? :) This would help me a lot :) Thanks :) Greetings, Kelrugem

The maps and dynamic lighting and tokens placements will all be usable, but all of the stats on the sheets and tokens will need to be restatted, as they're all designed for 5e, and there's no conversion from 5e to 3.5 available.
Ah thanks :) That one has to reformulate the stats etc. is no problem for me :) So, when I understand you correctly, one can use the 3.5e character sheets in the module? Cool, thanks a lot :)

You can theoretically use any sheet, but the tokens will only be statted for the 5e shaped and OGL sheets.

Like with any Game, you can change the Character Sheet Template of a Game created using the Storm King's Thunder Module. However, the fields of non-5e Character Sheets will not populate when used in a 5e Module. If you attempt to fill out the Character Sheet Tab of a Module-provided Characters while using a non-5e sheet, there also exists the possibility that the pre-existing Attributes on the Module-provided Characters will conflict with the Attributes provided by the non-5e sheet. For this reason, I would recommend refraining from directly using the Module-provided Characters and instead create new Characters. As you add new Characters while keeping the Module-provided Characters, you may experience your Game becoming slower or less responsive due to the large number of Characters and Attributes in the Game. After creating a new Character that is the 3.5 conversion of a specific Module-provided Character, you may consider deleting that Module-provided Character to mitigate this issue.
Thanks for your answers and the advices :) Now I understand what I have to then when importing characters :) That should be no problem for me since I also have to do the changes of stats when using the book but with the online module I should have no problem anymore with the maps etc. :) (especially when there are traps signed on the maps :D ) Thanks again :)
