[LFP][D&D 5E] [Saturday] Looking for 2 dedicated players for a Long-term Homebrew campaign

Hello there potential teammates! Our timezone is GMT+1 and we're looking to play Saturday nights at 8:00 PM on a weekly basis. Currently there`s three players and the DM, out of which all of us are very experienced with D&D 5e. We are currently looking for some fun people to play with in new, unique worlds in a dark fantasy setting designed by our DM, but we are also looking for players that will respect the time and effort the DM put into weaving every tiny little detail of the world. Since the team selection would be a bit more in-depth than your average D&D campaign, we're sure that the final team composition will be balanced and won't be lacking in any way, allowing all players to play the role they want and enjoy the world as much as they can. After all, we're all here to have fun. We'll be rolling for stats, as we feel that it makes every character unique, as well as adding great roleplay potential (a low charisma could be explained by an ugly scar across the character's face, the player can expand on that and give the DM great story hooks to tie in to the game). The rolls are 4d6, dropping the lowest value. Players will be expected to use official WotC material in the design of their characters, with the exception being Volo's Guide to Monsters as its fairly new and hasn't been fully playtested yet. Over the years we've amassed quite the collection of handbooks, materials and resources that could be used during the campaign, which we are glad to fully share with all of the players. Disclaimer: If you wish to play this game to be edgy, to act out a fetish, or if you can't or don't want to roleplay for some reason, etc. Don`t even bother applying. We want to take this campaign seriously, so please, only serious applications. Applications are still being accepted (note, this is a dark fantasy campaign, meaning that combat will be hard, and tactics in combat will be a must in order to survive) If interested please fill out this application: 1) What do we call you? 2) How old are you? 3) What would you like to see in the campaign (give the DM some ideas!) 4) How experienced are you with D&D 5e? 5) Which class would you like to play? Include a second option just in case. 6) Is there anything specific about you that the other players/ the DM should be aware of? 7) Include a small character concept, we don't want to know all about your character, you should RP that out in-game. 8)(Optional, but preferred) Include a backstory from one of your other characters so we get an idea of how fleshed-out it would be
tis a shame you couldn't start a couple of hours later am in gmt time so for me it would be 7.00pm but i can only start at about 9.00pm (10.00pm for you) due to work but this sounds good
1) I'm Berker. 2) 23 3) especially i would like to see  people that are not forcing for the highest dps aims. i especially for myself wont try that hard to be the 'ULTRA KILLING MACHINE' dude. also, would like to see a  game a little bit more rp inclined. As for the campaign, i would like to see that untrustable npc's (for giving us the most vigilant moments of our lives :P), creating the feeling that only guys who players can trust is themselves. 4) im experienced with d&d 3.5e but didnt played 5e but im eager to learn. 5) i would like to play a cleric of some good or neutral deity. didnt thought about prc's and stuff. 6) im fluent with english but sometimes i might stutter and mispronounce words. and when my finals and midterms are coming i might be absent. otherwise im really disciplined and punctual. 7) i would like to give it away in the game. but as concept im thinking a buffer/melee fighter cleric. and i will probably be LN as alignment. friendly. and mostly between neutral and good alignments. 8) due to campaign i will write a fair and reasonable background. since i dont know anything about the campaign's plot i would probably say my character joins for a divine cause
Player info: Name: Steve Age: 29 Experience: Over two year playing 5e and Dming for over a year enjoying both sides of board and learning new things. Communication: My preference would be Skype, but I am fine other forms of contact. Roleplaying To Combat Ratio: like a good balance of both, Probably 45% Combat 55% Role-play but am fine with a lean either way, But I do like encounter that can be solved with talking. I also like to make character's with History's and realistic goals based off there level. Interests: I Love playing D&D my other Interests are Cardgames such as Vanguard, Hearthstone, Yu-gi-oh. In the rest of my spare time I spend watching Anime and TV shows. About Me So I am a very down to earth guy who enjoys playing D&D 5e, I prefer to play with the RAW & RAI but am fine with DM bending stuff or creating something new to help with the story. The only thing that would get me a little annoyed. Would be Experienced players trying to Min/Max to the point there character is almost godlike e.g solo character, and trying to exploit rules or ignore them. Character info: I have a wide number of characters that I would be willing to play and I have quite a few background idea's in mind. What I did want to play test was the UA Warlock Hexblade But if the DM does not wanna look at a new materials then I am perfectly fine bringing an Official class to the game. This is just a sample of one of my Characters I do have a backstory in mind but until I know a little bit about the world and what not I don't want to make a background with assumptions as there could be differences in the world that are important to know before making a backstory. Name: Varis Moonbrook Age: 197 Race: Wood Elf Class & Playstyle: Circle of the Moon (Healer, Social, Defender, Controller, Damage Dealer in that order.) Background: Outlander Alignment: True Neutral Backstory: I will create a detailed and realistic backstory if I get into your game. I tend to create a 1-2 page history for my characters.
1) What do we call you? Finn 2) How old are you? 20 3) What would you like to see in the campaign (give the DM some ideas!) Half Elf warlock or Half Orc Barbarian or Mountain Dwarf Fighter.  8)(Optional, but preferred) Include a backstory from one of your other characters so we get an idea of how fleshed-out it would be. Depends on the class/race i choose.

1) I am Paul S. 2) I am 40.  (insert old jokes here).  Seriously, I've been roleplaying since the late 80s.  I started on 1e (the box set) and progressed through all iterations. Only played 4e once -- more than enough to know I didn't like it.  Sometimes miss AD&D -- don't miss THAC0 at all though. 3) I do like a solid bit or role play. So - opportunities to explore my character and how it interacts with the DM's world. Combat and such is great too... but give me a good bit of intrigue with a solid plot-line that can be explored through more than the standard hack-n-slash and I am a happy camper. 4) I have run the complete Tyranny of Dragons (as DM).  I have run many Adventurer's League one-shots/mini-adventures. I have played in various 5e campaigns. 5) This is the hard question. I really enjoy playing all classes/combos. I have played MANY wizards as I seem to be "good" at them. I like non-traditional race/class combos (gnome barbarian, dwarven wizard, etc....).  Also - the question of group balance comes into play.  As I haven't played a ranger in a while, I wouldn't mind giving a Ranger a shot.  So - in order of preference:  Ranger, Wizard, Druid, Cleric.  (That's more than 2 I know...but without knowing world setting/group makeup, it is hard to say). 6) I am very reliable and will make every single session.  I only have roll20 or Skype for audio. 7) Ok - so, please bear with me.  As I don't know the world, this is going to be a very "rough sketch".  Luxlin (human ranger, aged 27, hunter archetype) began his life as nothing more glamorous than a simple cotton farmer. He didn't have much. Just his patch of rocky ground, his nagging wife, and a horse that didn't like to pull. But, in many ways, Luxlin looks back on that time as the best days of his life. He doesn't dwell on what happened. It isn't worth dwelling on. Not now anyway. Not until he has his hands around the neck of the beast that ... He spits and walks along the forested trail. He's been tracking this deer for miles. He tests the draw on his bow -- the string has gotten damp from the early morning dew. With a sigh, he hitches his cloak up a bit and slips further into the underbrush. (more to come in a "full" background). 8) (OPTIONAL) Frizzle Whittlethump (gnome, wizard) combed his fingers through his scraggly beard, now more grey than brown. "Well Mr. Whiskers," he says with a slight drawl to his speech, "should we try it?" Mr. Whiskers doesn't answer of course. Mr. Whiskers is probably asleep in Frizzle's tangle of hair somewhere.  Frizzle glances once again at the book laying in front of him. The old wrinkly scrooge is asleep, his loud snoring filling the small hovel that Frizzle calls home.  "I know its his book Mr. Whiskers -- you don't have to tell me. But, he is teaching me after all. Just one little peak. I promise I wont do anything ..." Frizzle can feel his fingers begin to tingle and his pulse quicken as he creeps forward and scans the aged parchment in front of him. Such a pretty thing it describes. Frizzle reads quickly, his mind attuned to the old scrooge's cryptic scribbles. His lips move as he reads. Perhaps he is speaking the words aloud. He doesn't know, he's too caught up in the feel of the power filling him to overflowing. A warm glow fills him and grows quickly to a searing fire. He reads the last line and as the final word drifts from his trembling lips... Frizzle sits up, gasping for breath, his vision blurred and head throbbing. There is a smell of char and a sweet, acrid smell like burnt meat. Faintly he hears strange sounds like voices underwater. As his vision clears, he is greeted with a sight of carnage. All about him are charred timbers, burnt papers, and bits of fallen brick. He sees people, their hands blackened with soot and ash, reaching for him. They must want to help him. Something terrible must have happened. An attack? A dragon? But the hands are rough.  They grasp Frizzle and shake him.  More sounds, as of voices muffled by thick pillows, assault him. He can't make out what they're saying. The hands are hurting now. They grasp and claw and shake. And then he is being lifted and carried. He sees his village. It is more destruction and chaos. Bodies. Blood. He sees the river. And then he is thrown in to the raging waters...Frizzle's last thought as the water swept over his head was, "I wonder if Mr. Whiskers can swim..." Thus began Frizzle's journey into the unknown.
