[LFG][D&D 5E] Brand New Player Looking for Weekly Game

Hi everyone, I am brand new into playing. I played a handful of times in high school but don't remember much. Looking for a group that plays at least once a week and willing to have a brand new person on board. Basic Info: Name: Mike Age: 25 Location: Orange County, CA I work a typical 9-5 Job Mon-Fri so I am free after that. I prefer games later at night especially on the weekend as I do sometimes have plans during the day on weekends.  I have been very big into RPG video games since I was little and have always been interested in D&D. Only time I played was with my brother and his friends very rarely and they never followed any rules haha. That being said I do not have any knowledge on the game except what I have read up on. First off, welcome to Dungeons and Dragons. I'm a new DM looking to add someone new to a campaign that I am starting. It will be starting this Friday at 7 or 8 pm CST with me and a couple of friends. I am going to run a home brew campaign in Faerun's Sword Coast (I can give you a map of it). The campaign will start with you and the three others in the group banding together to join one of the top guilds in Faerun, The Emerald Enclave. They are elite, and you have been recommended by the high counselor Zebel to join their ranks and become top notch Adventurers. You will be joining the guild, but will not be required to solely focus on the guild, as the world will be yours and the group's to discover. I will try not to limit the group to much during the story, but there will be times when it gets a bit linear. If you can, tonight or tomorrow would be ideal to go through character creation, or to show me if you have already created a character so i can look over it. There will be a focus in many points of the story towards role play, and the plan is to have fun with it. We will run through discord voice chat, so I can add you to the Discord group. If you have any questions, just let me know in private message and I will respond to you soon enough.
