Probably simple

I want to use the &{template:5eDefault} but can't use it with the OGL sheet. I can't find out what sheet to use for that besides the "default" sheet, little help? maybe a link to the list of 5e sheets and the templates that work with them?

Here you go, OGL and Shaped both list their roll templates in their documentation. OGL by Roll20 <a href="https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/ogl5e.png" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/ogl5e.png</a> Community Contributed <a href="https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/dnd5e.png" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/dnd5e.png</a> Shaped <a href="https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/dnd5eshaped2.jpg" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/sheet-previews/dnd5eshaped2.jpg</a>
1st Thanks for the quick response! :) 2nd where is this sheet that uses the 5eDefault? I have been trying to learn how to use macros and see it referenced alot but it doesn't seem to be on any of these?

"5eDefault" is the rolltemplate for a previous version of the Shaped sheet. The current Shaped sheet uses "5e-shaped", but I think their contents are basically the same.

Ah! Thanks! Edit:nope that's not it either.
&{template:5eDefault} is for the Community Contributed sheet. It's not been updated in over a year and is no longer maintained. It also lacks drag and drop compatibility from the compendium. That being said any of those macros you have found should still work with it, because it is unchanged. As a matter of fact I still use this sheet in my main campaign that I have been running for over two years. It was the only option back then, but I made so many npcs and macros up I didn't want to loose that work by changing, so I have kept with it.
Thanks Ed S. it's mainly your awesome examples that got me jazzed about the 5eDefault in the first place. I've decided to stick with the OGL sheet since the DM I play with is using that sheet but doesn't have the time I do (little as it is) to learn about macros. That way I can just share the macros as I make them.
Thank you for the kind words Sky Rhetoric . I have made quite a few macros for the OGL sheet as well, you can find them around here, in fact there is a thread I just posted in here with links to a bunch of good ones. Happy gaming Ed
