New Player, no real experience, looking for a game

I'll need help with just everything.  I've been watching a play-through and they started with the character creation.  Since the video I've been watching is 5e, that's the game type I'd like to try out. The name is Nick and I'm upper 30s and a casual gamer.  I've played games based on D&D, but for some reason never played D&D itself.  While I'm not very imaginative, I'm hoping that this may help me become more imaginative.  I'm not sure of the type of PC I'd like to play, but I'd like to play a PC that hits hard and can survive.  Range weapons seem to be the way I'd like to go, so that I'm not in the thick of things. Right now, I don't know the best times for me to play, work is about to hit its busy season and force OT may arise; that being said, weekdays after 6pm Central/7 Eastern. Anyone willing to help?

Hi Andrew, That 5 am Central US Time is very early for me.&nbsp; I did read you're looking for GMs in different time zones and what not.&nbsp; Would there be a more suitable time for me?

hey Nick We have a game not DnD though but set in World of Darkness Hunter the Vigil (think Supernatural tv series) the game is on Sundays 8 AM PDT which is 7 AM to you, I know it's still early but if you're interested let me know (PM)
