Would the newer version of Gamma World work?

I'd love to see if i could get a game of Gamma World going, but it would seem difficult because of the cards... Has anyone tried this out? I've never actually played but sunk quite a bit of money on the base game and an expansion only to find out no one in my area is willing to play... I'm thankful for any advice, oh and I just literally finished signing up to the site so any help at al would be great, but please keep in mind i haven't even participated in a game yet. Thanks

If you want to use the cards then you will need to scan them and upload them to your deck.

Sorry that I was not more in detail but it is hard to type on a smart phone. What it boils down to is that if you want to use the cards, you will need to scan the faces of the cards so that you can upload them in your roll20 board. If you create a campaign board and go into it. look at your chat tabs and you will see one of the tabs listing decks and tables. That is the tab you will be on for creating a deck. You will upload each card face and you will need to upload one card back also. This very time consuming but if you are willing to put in the effort then you will usually have players. Sorry that I can't help you more but that is the basics. Someone else that uses cards or are more familar with them might drop by and help you with more info.
thanks for giving me more info, I think i'll set aside some time after thanksgiving to scan each card then, thanks for the help

My technique for scanning cards: 1) Align the card(s) along one edge of the scanner. Test the scanner to find out which edge is best (does not cut off the much of the card). Alternately, you can use a spacer to provide a better edge. 2) Scan one card at the desired scanned setting. 3) Process the scanned image through some kind of image processing program (Paint worked just fine for me) and remove extraneous material around the card. (Note: Some scanners do a fair job at scanning cards so that only the card is part of the image.) 4) Import into Roll20 and check it's appearance and quality. If you do not like the appearance and quality go back to step 2 and repeat at a different setting. 5) Once you get the appearance and quality the way you want it do a mass scan. Scan multiple cards at once (I did 5 on my scanner). Repeat until finished. 6) In your image processing program cut the cards out of the image. Repeat until finished. 7) Add a large number of cards to your deck (doing this all at once saves you time). 8) Set up the Roll20 window and the image file window side by side. 9) Drag the image from the file window to the card. Name the card while it is uploading. Hit save when done uploading. 10) Repeat step 9 until your deck is complete. This took me about 7hrs for around 300 cards.
I've done this myself in a similar manner to Gauss. I have a campaign set up specifically for the Gamma World 7e with all the bells and whistles. It's super-fun and works great on Roll20.
