[LFG] Newish D&D 5e player needing dm and players for any weekly D&D run

I am having the hardest time finding a group, I live Central Time and can play sunday tuesday-thursday, and saturday anytime after 5:00 pm CT if you want to form a group dont hesitate to ask or post
Hello i'm an australian player. i'm new myself to D&D 5e and tabletop RPGs in general. 5pm CT is about 9 in the morning here. so i can play saturday and thursday your time if you find a group because i am free those days completely I'm really struggling to find people too!
The ratio of DMs to players here is at a state of huge imbalance and growing. The only way out of it is to be relatively specific, which you both have.  Any idea of what kind of characters you would like to play? It is a lot harder to find a DM for a group, than it is for a DM to find players. Maybe tell a little bit about yourselves in a casual way, your experience with gaming etc.  Lack of roleplaying experience in a tabletop setting is not necessarily a deal-breaker. There are GMs here that like to teach and run games for new players. I am currently running three games a week, and playing in one, so I just do not have the time, but having met players, down the road, it might be a fit for a different game. I am retired US Navy, living in Thailand at GMT+7.  Online on roll20, I am running a text only game, no voice, for people mostly in Europe early Saturday evenings, European times.  11PM Bangkok time. Well met, and good luck in your search. sometimes it takes a few weeks or months to find a game. Games fill up in a few days after recruiting starts here.  The only way out of it is to be lucky (which you can't count on) or to be very specific in describing the game or situation that you'd like or what you would be willing to deal with.  What you are seeking as a player.. Narrative style, Actor Style, Crash and Bash dungeon crawl, political plots,  are you a setting fanatic,  are you the kind that makes a prop reference spell book of your spells to refer to during the game. A series of one shots, from different DMs? Or a really long and involved campaign with political intrigue?  A simple dungeon bash with a boss monster and lots of treasure weekly?   All of those styles exist here in one form or another. The clearer you can be on describing what you want, and what you bring to the game, the easier it is for a DM to find you and connect. Because daily there are dozens of posts by "New player to roll20, looking for a DM."  Dozens of dozens. I founded my most recent group here because the first player said, "Text only, I live in Germany, but I want a religious themed campaign, as a young female cleric, exploring the world." I saw that, and was looking to start a new group anyway, and thought, "I could run that." I negotiated with the player and we got a few more. Now it is running. Good luck in your search. There are a lot of others looking and considering the number of players, very few gamemasters.
