Hi everyone! I've gotten into the nWoD universe system recently, and coming from a background of DMing in D&D, I figured I would try my hand at storytelling as well. I'm thinking a weekly game over Skype, Saturday evenings in CET [GMT+1]. As for settings, I'm sticking to the fairly "normal" variants, so you can choose to either play as a Mortal, a Mage , or a Hunter. You can use the core book for each setting, as well as the Armory. Other books could be used as well; just ask me first, so that I know what I'm doing. Cheers!
How is this setting compared to Vampire the Masquerade? If it has the clans and you can play a vampire I would be interested.

The nWoD equivalent of Masquerade is called Vampire: The Requiem, but it's not something I want to include in this particular story. Like I said, either a mortal, a mage, or a hunter.
Wow... Been a while since i saw a WoD game of any variant that was within my time zone... I would totally love to try, but just know that I'm ALMOST new to the WoD universe... I tried WoD (Vamp': the masq') back then, and only 4-5 total sessions... never got to taste much of the game as my playing style sorta lead to me either dying either at first or 2nd game session OR because i went insane hehehehe Now i'm not saying it wasen't fun, heck i don't think i have had that much fun with the effects of insanity and all... But ya, If you would be so kind as to actually make a list of the Basic books the players need, just like 2-3 of them, then i would read up on how to make a char and all and be ready to join hopefully by the time you have more players and is able to start a session ^_^ I got 11 years of D&D experience, and while WoD is not like D&D, i could still make use of much of what i had learned in D&D. The only thing that REALLY had me stumped is the "leveling" system which is more like an "experience" system. But ya, I live in Denmark, and thus able to easily attend the game.

Hi! The basic books you need depends on which "race" you want to play. If you want to be a mortal, the standard World of Darkness book will be enough. If you want to be a mage or a hunter, you would need Mage: the Awakening or Hunter: the Vigil, respectively.
Definitely interested; and by including my two favorite settings in one game (mage and hunter), I will have to put in the extra effort to make it in. For me, I had, more or less, contact with each setting of the new WoD (except Mummy), so I know the basics, but I am by no means a "vet" or "expert" in the system(s). I am also in the CET timezone, so attendance wouldn't be an issue (for Saturdays at least).
Alright, I'll look them up as soon as time permits!
