The party lost one member and gained three more at Falling Leaf Monastery. Garrick's wedding day, already a private torment, was made far worse with a grisly gift and invitation. Ring fingers of his would-be bride and fatherly friend, kicking off a two week countdown to locate and defeat the fire cultist bastard intending to sacrifice... preferentially Garrick but his beloved Lia if he fails to arrive in time. Salven the squirrel joins the party, having witnessed Entek's murder of Auron, which Nix barely survived. Attempting to get their affairs in order and take swift action against Entek, whose location in the Sumber Hills was identified by Falling Leaf monks, the party leaves one of the Zhentarim-loaned horses in the care of Abbot Welan. Several hours of hard riding led the party to their first taste of the power of the fire cultists when they battled magma mephits and a salamander. Thanks to creative thinking and a little teamwork, they survived, a few healing potions lighter than they started. Mercury, former bandit captain now known by his given name Joshua, lost his life in the battle, having charged forward to pour one of his personal healing potions down Faeron's unconscious throat, likely saving him. Now in possession of a diamond capable of being used when their newly acquired cleric levels up to revivify a dead party member when he becomes a little stronger, the party embarked down Gaustar's Creek in the folding boat. Hopefully Womford or Bargewright Inn will have information or resources needed to survive and emerge victorious. 13 days remain.
