Importing characters en mass?

Hi  I want to import characters en mass form one game to another. Is it possible? The game is operates with several characters. I'm a co-game master, the creator left the game about a half year ago. After it expanded the game quite really. (new maps, macros, roll-tables, characters etc..) As I can not transmogrify, or simply copy the game, I'm intend to create a separate one. Remaking the roll-tables, maps, and others will be a huge amount of work and I want to ease my job with importing the characters.   

If needed I can contact the original creator. 

As this could become quite complex I'd advise emailing the team direct using <a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a> with as much detail as you can (original creator information, game information etc) and they'll be able to advise the best course of action. Thanks
