Token removing the fog of war

Hello How do I enable a players token to remove the fog of war as they move through the map? Can I? Or must that be done as the DM only?

Fog of war is handled manually by the GM. As a plus subscriber, you also have access to Dynamic Lighting which may have the effect you're looking for.
Well, what I'm after is this: I run a game IRL. We started using a flat screen tv on the table last week for maps. It worked great. But they were able to see the whole map, so that was a bit annoying. I decided to use Roll20 and its fog of war option. The only downside is that if I can only remove fog of war as a GM, it means I have to have 2 laptops. One plugged into the TV, as a player, so they can see only what's been revealed AND one to control the game as GM. While this is doable, I'd rather avoid it if at all possible.

Using dynamic lighting, you can block off areas of the map and give each player's token sight. This will black the map except for what's immediately around the players token, and what they see will automatically adjust as they move their token.
But it won't stay visible, right? Once they move, it's invisible again? Thank you for the help by the way.

Correct. There is a suggestion on the forums for this feature: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1242343/dynamic-... until then, I simply make a torch character with vision that all players control, and let them drop it as they move about to keep what they've seen visible.
Gotcha thank you

You may also be able to fake it by running two different browsers at once. Say, Firefox and Chrome. you as GM have Chrome running on your laptop screen, and using the "projector/presentation" options on the laptop push the Firefox version to the table display.
I DM an irl game, and use the flatscreen/roll20 combo for fog of war. As Andrew suggested, I run roll20 on two browsers, and duel screen between my laptop and the tv with an hdmi cable. The tv screen has me logged in as a player, and I log is as the GM on my screen. Works perfectly to do fog of war, shuffle map screens, and move icons. We also have clear plexiglass over our tv screen for dice rolling and dry erase marking. It's an excellent combo of tech, minis, and map marking.
