I'm big into rules-light one-shots lately. I'd be willing play Lasers and Feelings or it's fantasy equivalent Swords and Scrolls . Both are simple, light improv-style games with really no need to know the system beforehand. Durance has a more serious tone. The game has very limited mechanics and is mostly based on storytelling. The setting is created by the players together, taking turns to pick from a list of options the game provides. Then a cast of notable character is assembled, each player creates two. Each character has an oath, something they vow they will never do. PLayers take turns introducing scenarios designed to challenge another player's Oath, leading to much drama. Of course, if anyone else out there is down to introduce me to something new, that'd be great too.
