Hello, I'm brand new to Roll20 but have 25+ years experience as a DM and am currently running adventurers league games IRL. I am posting to guage interest in a new Adventures League online game with a bit of a twist... I'd like to run this season, Tales from the Yawning portal, only with a goblin (via Volo's Guide + AL guidelines) story arch. Unlike most AL seasons, because this season features only a loose collection of Dungeons it provides a rather unique opportunity to create plotlines seperate from the usual, kind of railroady, season archs, and being monstrous, specifically Goblinoid, would make possible some very interesting roleplay dynamics normally not found in Dungeon settings. Hard to do this IRL as it demands most or all players be limited by race (and somewhat in background and faction due to AL rules), but I figure if I throw this out on a community this size and ask only for people who would voluntarily build AL legal level 1 goblins for the season I'm not forcing anything on anyone... So, details: Game would be Weekly, beginning in a couple weeks, date and time to be decided if there's interest, likely on a Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday night, preferably four hour sessions. Won't be pay to play, and I will be picking up the full membership so you don't necessarily have to. Four to five players max, preferably experienced in AL play and roleplaying in general but if you're into the idea, I can answer questions about getting into AL. Idea would be for at least three characters to be goblins of various classes, with possibly one other Goblinoid (hobgoblin or bugbear) in a subservient role, and Maybe one other race willing to make a background good enough to explain being in a subservient position to a goblin tribe. Maybe. The AL guide to the monstrous races in Volo's is available free on the DMsGuild website. It comes with a specific shared background setting (not full background, just specific tribe) and faction (Zhentarim) that would not be enforced and used as a jumping off point for the adventures. if there's enough interest, I would have to choose based on character, background, experience, and ability to commit. Sorry in advance if I can't get back to anyone or if someone doesn't happen to be chosen. If interested, drop me a PM with your character idea and any questions you might have. Before character creation I would get everyone together on a forum to discuss group dynamics etc. Thanks everyone.
