Deselecting a Table in a Handout and adding content above or below it?

Simple question, and one I run into outside of Roll20 commonly. So I made a table, added stuff to it and then saved it. Now I want to add text above and below it but can't figure out how to select outside of the table to do so. Is there a simple easy way I am blind to or is this a long standing minor problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

Select the table and Copy , and then press enter.  Select the now empty document and press Enter several times.  Select a point in the midst of those empty lines and Paste the Table back in.
When tables are behaving properly, you can put the cursor in the last cell of the table and then press the down arrow key, or put the cursor in the first cell and press the up arrow key. The cursor may appear NEXT TO the table or even might be invisible, but if you start typing the text will show up in the right place. Sometimes, though, the editor has problems and doesn't work right. In these cases you can try cutting the entire table, put a bit of text in its place, then paste the table back in where you want it.
Awesome, thank you to you both. :)
