Can I add a token to the tracker without actually selecting it, such as by referring to it by name? I'm trying to streamline the macro, but I can't figure it out.

Unfortunately not because the Turn Tracker requires a token id and even though a token can only have one character, a character can have more than one token. A pro member would have access to the API in which you could write a script to accomplish what you are wanting, however.
