Hello. I just started looking to play on Roll20. I've also just recently startd playing DnD. I've done only 2 sessions offline and would like to see how an online session is. I would like to do this because I am curious about the platform and would like to see if this is something I would like to continue in the future. I'd like to try DnD if possible. 5e or 3.5e, it doesn't really matter as I'm still learning. I'm open to learning at all times and will look forward to it. I'm usually free around Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening after 4:00PM. Mainly however, I'm looking to have a great time playing with some of you.
If you are worried about p[laying RPGs online Id tell you don't worry about it.  I am a long time RPG gamer, 25+ yrs.  Always played with friends at an actual "table".  Then we all moved apart and I went years w/o playing at all.  Discovered Roll20 and fell in love with it.  Was skeptical at first and once I played I was sold.  I have to say the a VTT is a brilliant idea and wish I had found it earlier. So in short, look for a game that suits you, join and have fun.
I agree with what Kenneth is saying. Just join a game and dive right in bud. If you are going to do something, you should do it well. You are welcome to sit in on my campaign. I usually ask people to pay to play but if you just want to sit in and listen, I have no problem with that. Feel free to message me.
I allowed people to sit in on my games but I don't typically run 5th edition I run science fiction games
