Today, I, Richard D. Sharpe, a.k.a., "Stripe," officially resume my role as primary game master and dean of players here at Gorefest Dungeon for the upcoming third season. I pledge to be a trustworthy and fair GM and dean who will keep the best interest of Gorefest Dungeon and all players at heart. Officially, Chris D. will return as co-game master and dean of characters. This thread will keep an official list of active players and their position here at Gorefest Dungeon . Currently, Chris and I are the only two active members of Gorefest Dungeon with an official position for the upcoming third season, though of course there are more potential players. As dean of players , it is my authority and responsibility to accept or reject petitions requesting player status, and to revoke that status should I decide it's necessary to do so. As dean of characters , it is Chris' authority and responsibility to accept or reject player character sheets, to authenticate or invalidate their accuracy, and to certify they obey the rules. It is a player's responsibility to maintain a current, accurate, and public record of their character sheets and to fully cooperate with the dean of characters while doing so. As primary GM, I own the entirety of Gorefest Dungeon's intellectual property, which includes, but is not limited to its title, the storyline, and my artwork. Chris retains the same for his contributions and all players retain the same for their characters. I am also the sole proprietor of Gorefest Dungeon's space on Roll20.net and retain exclusive rights to all methods of its publication and broadcast. As co-GM's, it is Chris and I's responsibility to ensure the furtherance of Gorefest Dungeon's three-pronged mission statement: 1. That everyone has fun while playing. 2. That we learn to better create fun and interesting challenges for a standard Dungeon Fantasy party of three to five delvers. 3. That we provide an entertaining and informative experience for a wide audience via a webpage, blog or vlog. All petitioners must agree to strive for the furtherance of Gorefest Dungeon's mission statement to the very best of their ability, and also to abide by all rulings and decisions made by a GM in regard to the game. Additionally, all petitioners pledge a strong dedication to be present for each weekly session on time, giving advance warning when that is not possible, and to remain abreast of the game's state and news by checking the Roll20.net forums on regular occasion. There are five positions for players, one of them being filled by Chris or I, leaving four open slots. Character Creation rules will be announced and Gorefest Dungeon will begin accepting petitions for player status on Monday, Nov. 21, at noon Central Time . Petitioners will not be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seniority—the time spent playing under me as GM—will be strongly considered, but will not entitle one player to a position over another. Once accepted, players will be required to submit character sheets to Chris by noon Sunday, Nov. 27. There is no set date for Season 3's first session but as always, petitioners should be willing to remain dedicated to weekly sessions until warm spring weather fully returns.
