Hello! My name is Hayli and I have literally never ever played a tabletop RPG before. I've always loved role playing on forums and the like, but I feel that those usually end unsatisfyingly and I've been craving a more enhanced form of role playing. I think the most similar experience I've had to that of D&D is Skyrim, which I've logged hundreds of hours into. I've been loving playing Skyrim as a lawful good vampire and don't know if that would fit in well to D&D5e without heavy modification, but I like making up characters on the fly, too, so it's not a huge deal if I can't do something crazy like that. My time zone is CST and I do go to University, so my weekdays are usually busy until around 4pm CST. Weekends are usually free, although these next couple of weeks will be hectic because of finals coming up. I would totally be willing to try a different game than D&D if a group were to take me in. It's just the one I've listened to podcasts of and the one I'm most familiar with. What I really want is a group of people who wouldn't mind joking around and not necessarily taking the most straightforward approach to solving problems in a game. I love comedy of the absurd and bizarre situations because they can lead to so much more fun than just hack-slash-loot. Anyway, if someone out there is running a group and wouldn't mind helping a newbie like me learn the ropes, I'd be truly grateful if you contacted me!
