CLOSED FOR NOW I'm looking for one player to fill out a party for my upcoming game, Mistwood.  The Game:  Mistwood is a standard trade route settlement in the middle of the High Forest. Most only pass through this small town, but some linger - be it to set down roots in its farmlands, to explore the mysteries of the deep woods, or to test themselves against its dangers.  Starting at level one, this game will spotlight your characters and party dynamic. Mistwood is very much a starting location in a sandbox; I will provide opportunities, mysteries and challenges but overarching stories will be based on what my players want to explore within the world and within their characters. Sessions will be 2-3hrs long, weekly, starting next week. The length of the campaign is entirely up in the air, really only contingent on how long we're all still having fun for. Voice chat will be conducted over discord. For those interested in party balance, we'll be a party of 4-5 - so far with only a cleric and barbarian confirmed. Anything PHB/SCAG welcome, VGM/EE/UA at my discretion.  What to bring:  This is a game for story tellers. I'm looking for someone who loves to roleplay, who works well building bonds between characters and responding to social challenges. While combat will of course be a large part of this game, if its your favourite part of playing then this isn't the game for you. Come ready to tell me a story, to build that story with other players, and to respond to challenges in a way that grows your character in interesting ways.  We're LGBT friendly, and I've got zero tolerance for any out of character rudeness. Be respectful, be nice, and have fun.  If this all sounds good to you, post here or message me with a character concept and a little about what you enjoy in a game. Feel free to ask any questions

Hey there, name's David and I'm 21. I'm a D&D fan but I've never actually played, got a grasp of the basics of the game but I don't know the rules as I should yet and I joined here to find a game to play. I do have experience on informal roleplaying though and have done it several times, but since it was always one on one the story would never progress and there was no one to moderate so that's how I went to search and found D&D and roll20. Here's a quick introduction to my character, if you wish for the completed(ish) sheet I'll certainly provide^^ Orianna "Despair" - Tiefling - Fighter(Battle Master) and Duelist - Noble - Chaotic Neutral Background Story: Even of noble background, Orianna was always a troublesome child due to her great curiosity, one which led to her breaking a holy object that cursed her to have an unlimited span of life, although retaining her mortality her youth is never ending. After she outlived all of her closest family and never establishing a family of her own she left her noble roles to pursue her ideals. Due to her noble background and exploring, she has made friends with many diplomats and is known by all. Her combat training and proficiency comes from watching and mimicking her elders train and from having helped and befriended traveling performers who came to perform on the court. Personality Traits:  Rational, Creative, Open Minded, Strong Willed, Inspiring, Romantic, Loyal, Friendly, Cares for personality rather than appearance, Cautious, Curious. Flaws:  Lustful, Flirt, Insomniac, Cursed, Disturbed, Hard to understand, Impious, Slightly Obsessive, Perfectionist, Unpredictable Ideals:  To prove herself capable of ending senseless war, suffering, and hate.
This sounds just like what I am looking for. Here is my character concept: My character is a changeling lore bard with a charlatan background. So I did a bit of research and turns changelings are the spawn of a humanoid and a doppelganger. All doppelgangers are male and therefore can not reproduce so they must use someone else as a host. My character has been using its changeling abilities take different form in order to con rich nobles for money. If a con did not go as planned he could simply skip town and change identities. When he started out there were quite a few failed cons so he has gotten pretty good with a forgery kit. As a bard he would always sing of these great heroes but realized that even though he has had some crazy exploits he would never become a hero from those stories. He changed identities too often for people to be able identify him and when rich people get conned they tend to keep it a secret as to save face. Side notes I have decided to have my bard play the violin because I want him to be slightly snobby. He has been around nobles for a long time and certain mannerisms have rubbed off. Also to be noted he did not have a robin hood situation where he steals from the rich and gives to the poor. This guy steals from the rich and keeps it for himself. This character has built up quite a fortune but has lost the vast majority of it. His most recent con went very very poorly and he had to use this money to get himself out of the city and is effectively broke. This is an older character I made but never actually got to use. I am pretty flexible with what type of character I will play. I can just fill what ever role the team needs.
Are you totally set on fridays? This sounds pretty awesome. Good luck either way :)
