D&D 5e OR Pathfinder: Fans of Baba Yaga, Russian culture/folklore???

I'm from Russia originally and have studied slavic folklore my entire life. I have produced a few of my own fun adventures based on some books I am writing but I would like to invite a very special select few to participate in a 3-5 session adventure.  It will take place within either Pathfinder or D&D 5e edition (using their rule sets, respective locations, etc.) but voted upon by the majority who are accepted into the game.  Prerequisites include: Passion for Slavic/Russian history and/or fascination by Baba Yaga and Witches, comfortable with a challenging game that I (the DM) will be omniscient in and constantly mixing, up based on Slavic lore / Baba Yaga's stories, and willing  to make a story-centric  character.   I am the type of DM who loves outside knowledge as long as you can justify  it in-game... while I despise those who try to power game without  being story-centric... At least in my worlds.  Brief Synapsis of the Story: It is a time when the waxing of the moon is settled under the stars of the "Dragon God" and Baba Yaga's powers are at her weakest. However, the plans to a newly developing tool for empowering her further are in the making (out of character, the Chicken-Foot Hut)... You have been chosen specifically as her first Riders to protect her plans, uphold the peace in the land while bringing destruction upon your enemies and search for the artifacts needed to shape her masterpiece... Don't ask for what "boons" you get, but yes you will  be a rider of Baba Yaga (no, do not look up what stats they have already). We will talk about that in-game.  Plus: Speak a foreign language, have Dnd5e/Pathfinder experience, open-minded to a non-linear game that will constantly challenge you. Name: cubedancer Availability: GMT 0 Mon/Thurs after 5-6pm Preferred Method of Play: Voice - can do Skype or Discord (or Roll20) Age: 30s Experience with Russian/Slavic culture and folklore and/or Baba Yaga - Witches in folklore, etc.: Have enjoyed reading up on Slavic mythology in the past though not truly knowledgeable. Am interested in a game that explores that sort of thing, hence the reply. My favourite myth is The Firebird if that helps! (Also like the Witcher games/books - ok I've only read one - though I realise its Polish) Preference on Class/Race: Tend to favour Rogues but open to other classes. Race would likely be human but may dabble in standard LotR inspired races. Notes: I am bad at remembering rules and have not campaigned in a while. I accept that you may want to give me a miss if you are looking for smooth gameplay. Also I only speak English.

My favorite band is Gogol Bordello which exposed me to the works of Nikolai Gogol. Preference on Class/Race: No real preference but based on the setting you’ve proposed, I’d say Halfling Bard. I am fluent in English and Spanish with some French as well. Over the past 2 years I have been a D&D 5e and Pathfinder GM. Originally, I started with D&D 3 rd and 3.5. Experience with Russian/Slavic culture and folklore and/or Baba Yaga - Witches in folklore, etc.: Heard most of the folk stories as a kid and did plenty of my own reading for interest's sake. I grew up in a Slavic household, so I do speak Russian quite fluently (though, with English words mixed in if talking fast). Baba Yaga is by far one of my favourite Russian folkloric characters, surpassing the likes of Koschei and Zmey Gorynych by miles.  Preference on Class/Race: Class, either Clerics or Sorcerers of some type. As for Race, anything that can be somewhat pretty. :')

It will be nice to have another Russian who is familiar with the mythos and, I too, love Baba Yaga lore more than other Russian lore... though the others will  be in the game, as well. Спасибо вам огромное за игру! Русские мифы/сказки = Класс! I am happy to be on board. :) And I have heard/read up on them before...I can't quote specific details, but I believe there was a White, Red, and Black Rider?  (Oops, forgot to answer the question on age! 25, so definitely over 18.)

Thanks Cubedancer. I just moved to Colorado everyone, so sorry for the late reply. I'll be setting up more information soon. For now, let's get on discord when possible and do some simple introductions. How is everyone coming along in brushing up on their Russian / Slavic / Baba Yaga history and such?
