Name: Paur Taure (powr tau-ray) Class: Monk Race: Wood Elf Backstory: For centuries Paur has been secluded to the wild forests of his homeland, known for ferocious beasts that reside within the shade of its trees. As a child, Paur’s village was quiet and peaceful. At the age of seventy-five the village was destroyed by a pair of twin young green dragons, seeking to carve out a territory of their own. The majority of the villagers were slain in the attack and those few that remained were split up to serve the new masters of the forest. With a new territory claimed, Vasuv’hass, the younger and more subservient of the twin dragons, sought out a lair and tasked Paur with the expansion of his cave, giving him a single pickaxe to complete the task. So Paur began, and carved the rock to the his master’s wishes. When his tools broke, he used his hands, finding that they worked better. When he was hungry, or thirsty, or tired, he resolved himself to continue working. After many years of torment a band of adventurers challenged the twin dragons, drawing them out of their lair. Paur took advantage of this distraction and fled from the cave to selfishly save his own life... Paur still wonders if the adventurers survived the encounter, he never had a chance to look back when he was fleeing the forest, his home.

They are protective to their belongings, but not immediately aggressive to strangers. One day, they receive new strangers saying that they are lost and need some shelter and food, they are welcomed in to the tribe to rest a little, but at night these strangers steal most of the tribes wealth, what little coin they do have as well as weapons and food and escape. At dawn Cruv awakes and notices that they were robbed, and creates a hunting party to go after the thieves. They eventually find the thieves and take them down, and notice that they have a lot of wealth with them, far more than they took from them, they probably have been doing this with other people. Cruv sees this and thinks about becoming an adventurer. He knows that if the tribe continues way they have been things will never get better for them but if he goes out on an adventure things will improve if he takes back wealth to his tribe.
There are 2 characters I'd be interested in playing, I'd play the one we need: Character name: Elyian Sunorai Character Race: Elf Character Class: Wizard (enchantment school) Character Backstory: Elyian spent his life being a bookworm and his colleagues were always so happy to remind him how he had no experience on the field. When he heard of the portals opening up he decided it was time for him to put down his books and see what was hiding beyond.   Character name: Sirian Larund'el Character Race: Elf Character Class: Cleric (Knowledge and leadership domains) Character Backstory: Sirian was at the forefront of the great war. Just beginning his career at the time, he was appointed a medic for the elvish troops. His leadership and sense of duty brought him up from medic to commander and helped his side win many battles. When peace finally arrived, he decided to travel and see the world. Being the smart and charismatic elf that he is, he rarely had to rely on his sword to get out of troubles. Now, with the calamities that pour through the portals, he decided to don his armor once again and answer to the call.
Character Name: Geraldus Redfield Character Race: Human Character Class: Fighter (Eldritch Knight) Character Backstory: Among the ranks in many wizard circles are eldritch knights that act as both bodyguards of wizards and hunters of rogue mages. An aspiring knight, Geraldus Redfield, has been charged with answering Ducalian's call to investigate rumors of beasts pouring through magical gates. If he succeeds, he will be one step closer to earning the respect of his peers and rising through the ranks of his order.
Character name: Vaughn Blightbane Character Race:  Hill Dwarf Character Class: Cleric Character Backstory: A lone figure stands at a simple gravestone with his head lowered, his rugged and scarred hand gently following the runes carved there and whispers into the dark. "When we were young father told us we'd one day have to cleanse our realm of the blight... I just wish he would have known that his prophesied words would come at the cost of your life, little brother." The figure stands and breathes deeply, wiping to clear his vision. He looks beyond the graveyard at the thousands of similar stones, each marked with their varied symbols and shakes his head. "I'm done with this place. I'm done trying to be the dam that holds the river at bay..." he growls. " It's time to find the source of this evil, and end it."
