Subscription change removes mentor status?

It says I'm a supporter but I paid my 10$ on november 12th. I just reduced it to supporter so that the next charge will only be 5$, and presumably I'd be demoted when that charge hit. I paid for mentor status for one month so shouldn't I receive it? I assume this is a bug. I just happened to notice and thought I'd mention, I kind of wanted to play with the mentor stuff more before deciding whether or not to stick with it..
The way that it works, if you cancel the subscription completely, it keeps you at the same level and you get the beneifts through the end of your subscription period. If you downgrade or upgrade, though, it downgrades/upgrades you immediately and then gives you a credit for the unused portion of your current subscription. So when you downgraded, you got a credit for your unused mentor sub (what was left of your month), and then your supporter subscription started immediately. If you want to test being a Mentor, you'd need to upgrade to Mentor and then either cancel right away (if you don't want to risk being re-charged), or wait to downgrade until you've decided for sure you only want to be a supporter. Sorry for the confusion.

If I knew that I would have downgraded instead of canceling. Oh well.
Yea I wish I'd seen that somewhere, how does the compensation work? Like is my next month paid for? Is there a place to see the prorated price for this month and the remaining funds etc? If I upgraded to mentor right now what would happen? confusing system :)
